A lot of people say the same, then when another defeat comes, the boo's are deafening, the scapegoats come to the fore, and we get more and more of these inane topics from people saying "stop whining, support the lads, only a true fan wouldn't complain" yet behind the keyboard you're secretly fuming about the current situation.

I don't need someone on a message board telling me to buy tickets, telling me to stop complaining and telling me to support the lads. I do that anyway. Apologies for my curtness, I'm just sick to death of this type of topic rearing it's head every few games. We lose a couple - "the next few games are crucial"; we win a couple - "the next few games are crucial"; ALL the games are crucial in my mind. Plus there is no use predicting what will happen in the games before the split because our form is that inconsistent, then it's virtually impossible to determine what game we will win.

I really need to go back to being negative every time we play; at least we won 3 Challenge Cups, a LLS and had 2 Grand Final appearances when I denounced every game as a defeat. Now that I have a more positive outlook and go into every game thinking we can win; we've had a shocker this season.

I'll be there like most whatever happens, the club recognises what needs correcting shown with some good signings and more to come for next season the clubs efforts are there for all to see, but it seems some are staying away for whatever reason I'm sure when they realise the effort the club is putting in most will have a change of heart.

Really looking forward to tomorrow Leigh will be up for this it should be a great atmosphere.

Yeah we played them Week 2 when they'd had the biggest win in Week 1 away at Hudds.

You have to admire his tenacity and his unwavering self belief that he is right... even when he is obviously wrong... why bother looking at the facts when you can have a wild swing in the dark?

He wont admit defeat.. He will come out with some sort of cryptic poorly worded response, that makes no sense whatsoever... Then claim victory as his.

I would be very surprised - and very pleased - if we won the next 3-4 matches.
The HKR performance was unacceptable and the team know it.
I want a good professional performance against Leigh. Not looking for fireworks. looking for doing the basics right and putting in the hard graft.
Starting with a kick that doesn't go out on the full if we kick off, and no penalties in the first few sets, or a good catch and strong runs from the forwards.
Leigh have got their tils up - even though they lost to London - and have every right to fancy a result against us given last week.
We just need to concentrate on doing things right and doing the right things.

It will probably be closer than most peope think but I do think we are more than capable than simply 'edging it'.

Going back to the original post rather than RD's ramblings and it has been a great week. Quarter final banana skin avoided, the best draw we could have got from the three available for the semi (yes, I'm aware HKR fans will say the same), then our best performance and best home atmosphere of the season with a patched up side when most expected defeat.

As a bonus we've half got our name back too.

I'm not naive enough to think this is going to be a springboard to the top four and beyond. It's not impossible, but it's a very big ask. At least the top eight is looking a lot more likely now, and Wembley is a reasonable possibility. If this is a transitional season - which is clearly is - then it's the sort of transition we'd have been delighted with for years up to 2009. I realise expectations are a lot higher now, and rightly so, but most of us have seen far worse. Stick with them.

NOW THE WIRE

Hull KR fans will have also just watched us snuff out every attack from the team going for second in the league. bar a chip and chase they were nullified in attack at every opportunity.

they broke our defensive line .....NEVER.....

Imagine watching that and thinking we'll beat Wires easily....

Those two games, and we won them both, were always going to be pivotal.

If we can kick on from here, they could prove to be our turning point.

Nobody in East Hull expects an easy game, hell we all know we go in as underdogs. Your defence was very good last night, but it was a typical Pies showing, don't let them bully you and they have no plan B.

I expect Rovers to throw a little more variety at you and it should make for a great game.
