They often say that in RL that if you dont prepare and play with 100% gusto then injury is more likely to occur.

I might be wrong but I have a feeling that we will be shot by the time the playoffs come calling and that we will again have a poor series.

Perhaps the week off hasn't done you any favors. The players body's have perhaps relaxed and become unaccustomed to the pressures of the game (not very medical I know).

I don't think it's anything to do with the week off, and as for not playing with 100% gusto I also think thats' doubtful given the scoreline.
Hodgson was off after a minute - maybe more to do with warm up not being right, but more likely to be 'just one of those things'.
If all 4 are mssing at Catalan then it'll be a tough game.
But Blythe has played really well at centre so no concerns. Briers will replace Grix - no concerns.
Westwood will be a big loss in the 2nd row - even if Solo takes his place (they're different kinds of player). The alternative of Grix looks not possible, and it's difficult for Riley to come in to take Hodgson's place.

Possibly McCarthy and Clarke in the 17, although tbh the latter doesn't pose an attacking threat.

As long as Briers is back, it's still a very strong team....

There's still plenty of options for next week. Briers should be fit, Riley could come in at fullback, Blythe can play in the centres (if Bridge is at fullback) or in the second row, King did a great job in the forwards against Leeds and Williams could come back into the team. In League Express a couple of weeks ago, TS mentioned that Ryan Shaw probably deserves a SL debut and with the injuries picked up today, he may get that chance.

Wouldn't want Riley at fullback.

Pack, get some size out there to tire those big blokes in the heat, I don't think they've got proper halfbacks, so it'll be pretty striaght down the middle, get all the big blokes tired then trust little big Monas and our halfbacks to rip them to shreds, spaces will open up out wide, think i'd start this pack :-

Exactly, the starting team should still be strong enough to handle Catalan's big forwards but I'm not sure about the bench. The use of the substitutes could be vital next week if it's scorching hot. Personally, I'd like to see Solomona start on the bench as I think he's much more effective as an impact player when the opposition's defence is tiring.

I'd go with that - Blythe not ideal in the 2nd row, but at least we still have some quality on the bench that way.
