im not saying we will win either trophy this year, both are long way off, but why cant we celebrate what is warringtons best start to a season for a long time, we have shown we can be beat and we have our off days but we are clinical with teh ball, dont lose concentration when we get a lead and defend like our lives depend on it.

i think you will find that i mentioned that in OP and said i will take what is on the table at the moment and be happy with it. You can never predict a result so whats the point in trying, all we can go off is the black and white that is there here and now.

what is here and now is, we are top of the table with a massively superior points difference. that makes me happy.

also even if we were second to wigan on points i would still be happy knowing that if we beat them at home we would go back top providing everything else is still the same at that point in the season.

and the week after you will lose to Catalan or some other low table side and Wigan are back on top again.

There are no easy games in super league...

If we can finish top and have another good run in the challenge cup then it will give us a realistic chance of doing the double due to getting a week off for finishing top, we blew out badly last year in the play offs and i'd say that fatigue was a big factor in that especially when the heavens opened at Knowlsey Rd and the going got heavier under foot.

The good thing for us is that we have to play Wigan, Saints and the Giants all at the HJ.
Whilst not one of those games will be in any way easy, we are able to pick points up and maintain our league position.
The only club in the top five that we have to play away is the Rhinos, who we play in two weeks.

Not sure being at the HJ is that much of an advantage. By plenty of accounts, three of the least impressive Warrington performances this season have been at home (Catalans, Hull and Hull KR).

But we have had other impressive performances at home against Quins, Leeds & Cas.

Don't forget the game against Keithlee as well.

Agreed, it was only an observation that the HJ is still far from a fortress. I'd like to think they'll be up for the big matches against Wigan, Saints and Hudds, since they evidently weren't against Hull and the Catalans.

After round 14 last year we'd won 10 lost 4, same as this year.

Last year we'd scored 450, this year we've scored 519.

Last year we'd conceded 208, this year 205 (best in league both years).

The comparative records of Wigan, Wire, St H, Hudds and Leeds are not significantly different.
