The original yellow/blue colourway Malmos are boss. Size had them last time I looked.

I could do with a new pair and the classic colourway - white with yellow sole and gold stripes - Forest Hills are in my mind, but then Bobby Digital above has got me thinking of the Diadora Borg Elite too so we'll see. I might just stick with the Stans for now and look at the options for winter when I'm in Berlin the week after Wembley.

Possibly it is an age thing, (most people will grow out of it), or insecurity or a mixture of both that would make anyone want to be recognised as part of a group by clothes and the labels on them? Yes I fell for the 'have to have the right gear', when I was of an age where peer pressure might have counted.

Maybe I'm the one that's got it wrong? I will readily admit to never having the conversation with my mates asking what they will be wearing on a particular evening, (unless it's a formal occassion), or commenting "hey nice tee shirt pity it's lee cooper, just put a badge over the logo no one will know you've been to Sports Direct" it just wouldn't wash in my circles, so to speak.

Update on this:

I've just taken delivery of a very nice navy Lacoste polo, but I'll probably have it on at West Brom on the opening day of the football season rather than at Wembley. It's in contention though. Stay tuned.
