Any idea how many have been sold overall?

I too saw that game, and the Maine rd one, and the burnden park one.............just 3 of the many reasons that I hate wigan!

Our sales seem to be poor again, unfortunately. Why on earth is beyond me - a local rivalry played at an iconic soccer ground just down the road. It should have been sold out by Saturday tea time!

No worries fella. I also went to the Maine Road semi, and the Wembley 1990 final, and the Lancashire Cup final at Knowsley Road - all losses to the pie-eaters and for me, Wigan are Warrington's biggest rivals and we defo owe them a defeat.

Looks like we will be massively outnumbered at Old Trafford by our cherry and e friends.

I do wonder sometimes how much this town wants this team.

Why is that? We put them on General Sale early as we had really good turn out by Hardwired Members. The last press release said we had 1000 tickets left. Yesterday i was told we had fully sold our allocation?

Our allocation was 10,000. It isn't a big number and it looks like our support base is flat and not growing.

I suspect we will be outnumbered as we were at Wembley. It was hard to spot a primrose and blue shirt on Wembley Way.

I like many of our following using the experience of purchasing tickets for previous finals prefer now to purchase tickets from the RFL. In the days of T'internet et al, it is a lot easier to buy the tickets and get them where you want from the comfort of your own armchair. I am not quite sure that any of the tickets that I have bought and in the Wire end come off the club allocation. I am sure there will be a great many wire fans there on Saturday.

Going on the stadium plan off the ticket website there will be plenty of space in our end, and a bit in the pies end.

I've just typed out a massive post and deleted it on bandwagon jumpers. rRemember how we were told we needed all them people that were going wembley that don't go each week, how we needed to accept them? where are they now?

Indeed but it would be good for Simon Moran to see his continued support paying off by seeing our support base grow and events like this being packed by Warrington supporters.

Good question. I might be wrong but there seemed to be more demand for the CCF in 2009 and the GF in 2012.

Might be a general trend in our game but it is still disappointing.

Talk of FC taking 3X more fans than us...well that didn't happen. Yes there were more FC fans. I'd estimate around a 1/3rd

Fair point, but I think the fans have backed him to a fair degree, he called for 10k/11k avg crowds at the HJ and he has that. Quite a jump from where we have come pre his support. Out of interest, is his financial support that great these days? That's a genuine question as I have no idea, the club seem to be regularly posting profits despite regular transfer fees paid out. We seem to me to be a self supporting club now, or am I being naive?

Taking the crowd averages up to 13,000 will take a massive jump in quality from the players and coaches, sine the corners were filled recruitment, the team, and general play has gone backwards, no surprise then that the crowd has too!

The club and its supporters will forever be in the debt of SJM.

I personally know of 30+ regulars who are not going to the GF due to apathy regarding team selection and style of play, that's their decision I suppose. I am sure that there will others who are pay as you go individuals who won't go either and that's probably true of our opposition as well.

Really, not going due to apathy? They are going to be that narrow minded to miss a GF because of that. I disagreed with playing Russell and Evans as our wingers but it wouldnt stop me going.

Its a GF for gods sake, a chance to banish a hoodoo. I'd rather be there than not.

Don't disagree with you mate, but that's the consensus I have been getting mainly since the Wigan loss.

It hasn't been consistently 11k, last year it was sub 10k. I suspect when they filled the corners in they were hoping for an average around 12-13k with it being full for the big games.

The club is financially viable but I think transfer fees might come of out of the SJM pocket?

Seems a little knee jerk to me, over the course of the season we have been good. More ups than down. Still the most consistent team over the season.

Most points scored, least conceded, most tries scored from our own half i think i heard also. Granted we are not the team of 2012 which was superb but we are still a good team in our own right.

Despite that the club seems to grow. Attendances are up on last season, maybe not where the club wants to be as stated already.

Style of play wise, personally i would like us to dial it in a little, especially in big games and stop coming up with unforced errors, stupid offloads and also charge downs at the wrong times in games. However that is our style and we are where we with it. Which could be worse!

Maybe the club need to do something to get some of the town folks interested, a promotion for people who have come to Warrington for a new life. If they are to stay we want to plug into the next generation of there families who will be growing up here.

I think that should be the priority now, i'd bombard the out of chapelford, although marketing in general still needs to improve.

Possibly, however you have to agree that we now have a much stronger presence across Social Media platforms which you could argue that it is promotion. A lot of what the club has done this year has got fans more involved with things like Locker Room Laughs (Although they have dried up). Lots of those Hardwired video which have been good.

I could agree that these are appealing to existing fans and not attracting new fans though.

If you have nothing to improve then you are stood still and will be overtaken. Luckily we as a club having a very strong starting base to keep improving upon.
