You are comparing Warrington fans, starved of league success, to Saints fans who have had plenty of it since Superleague began. Now that's a joke! You seem hugely paranoid that you might be compared to a Saints or Wigan fan if Warrington won things on a regular basis.

He is a cracking player and I'm sure there are many images of him without the Challenge Cup. You might find a few of Dessie, trophy-less, too.

Supporters always expect the absolute most from their team. It's natural to expect your sports team to win and following a victory in the CC you'll have to accept a lot of fans with high expectations for the league next season. Bookmakers will have Warrington in the top 6 in the betting to win the league, maybe higher, so it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we will win the league and GF. So why not expect improvements of the highest order? Even if it's a dream at this stage it certainly doesn't make those supporters akin to Saints or Wigan fans and absolutely doesn't mean they have "cockitis"

So if you arent bothered, as you claim, why would you be disaspointed at not making the top 8??

I'd actually be happy with doing what we've done this season again next year, even if it did mean coming 10th in the league. I'd certainly rather win the Challenge Cup than do what Huddersfield have done.

In years to come if people ask what happened in the 2009 season I wonder what people will remember, who came 3rd, or who won the Challenge Cup?

Who won the Challenge Cup in 1998? lots of people know the answer to that one....where did they finish in the league, there's a tough one without Rothmans....

I would love another trip to Wembley and a good play off run. So I'd say to finish in the top 4 to guarante a home tie at some stage. Oh and to beat bloody Saints home & away.

I'm gonna quote this and keep it as a sig. I never fully know when you are or aren't Sally-ing, but this is my trail of thought. Without getting too much into another cock measuring thread, but who gives a chuff if you finish top, second, third et al in the league tables and don't win? When fans look back at the 2007 and 2008 seasons, they will not be looking at Saints topping the table, they will be looking at Leeds being crowned as "Champions".

They might yet win Super League.

We achieved what i was hoping for this year, better consistency in the league, the defence was certainly a lot better than in previous years as well as being quicker around the ruck. At wembley the defence was exceptional.

We made the top 5, reached a major final and won a trophy. Happy Days
