...Its actually one of life's great mysteries how Huddersfield got into Super League....I was born in 1970, and for all my life upto the introduction of summer rugby, Huddersfield were one of those funny little Yorkshire clubs, a la Batley and Dewsbury, who used to make the numbers up in the lower leagues.....Suddenly, with summer Rugby, they found themselves elevated into the elite of the sport....Why??

We probably didnt do enough that year to earn a place on those 2 achievements and i do believe that the team who finished 8th in that league probably deserved it more than us ..........
