| Much as I prefer Wembley I think the history books will show the GF as more meaningful. Certainly want to get that particular monkey off our back.

You'd soon get fed up of Old Trafford and yearn for a day out at Wembley? In addition the proposition this year is that if we beat Widnes we are a game away from Wembley and the semis could be three from the current top four so is there a real benefit to being out of the cup? We aren't talking of losing round 1 'so that we can concentrate on the league' type option

| wembley for me..it would be nice to be called champions but isnt that what you call a team who win the league not someone who finishes 5th and wins a comp at the end of the season..ive explained this senario to a few at work who have no interest in the super league..they reckon its bonkers

Totally agree with you, but the problem we have is the morons that come on here from other boards say that we only say it because we haven't won it yet. I DONT CARE, Wembley all day long for me as I said earlier.

I've already got a cart and an appointment at the funny farm. They were very interested in taking you early on the back of repetitiveness.

| As a Hull fan, with our Wembley record, I'd take a CC win any day, but I understand the logic of you guys wanting the GF more and for what its worth, I think you will beat Wigan in the play off final. Your team, when firing, is virtually unplayable, but as always, injuries are crucial and Sandow and Gidley need to remain healthy for you.
I think on form, Wire are the best team I've watched this year, I don't buy all the guff from Wigan and Leeds stating that the standard has dropped, hence their lack of dominance, I think that the salary cap is now working , apart from in France and a closer competition at least keeps everyone interested. Good luck guys.

| I love the idea that the Grand Final is the Mickey Mouse Cup but the Challenge Cup is something proper. To win the Grand Final you need to position yourself well in the league and then win two very high pressure games. To win the Challenge Cup you need to win four games, one of which is often against a lower league team. So, in effect three high pressure games. Two different competitions which bring their own prestige. However, to be called champions you need to perform over the season and that is why the Grand Final is the pinnacle of the sport. This season of all seasons not doing well in the league ladder will really hurt teams - look at St Helens. They won't win it from 5th.

I can't stand Old Trafford but I want my team to be Super League Champions, and that means going there and winning.

| Anyway congrats from a Trinity supporter. You've saved the semi-finals from being infested by boorish chemic fans and that grating whinger Betts. Always enjoyed banter with Wire support at Wilderspool, H J etc and Belle Vue and would look forward to a stroll up Wembley Way with you guys. Enjoy your night.

| Every time i see Rhys Evans i am more impressed. I really do believe he is one of if not the best tacklers in the league. I wouldn't want to be an attacking player trying to get past him because he will chop you down every time.

Compared to their average performances over the last 5 years 2011-15 - based on standard of play not just results
Teams that have improved
Hull
Catalan
Wakefield
Teams about the same
Wire (arguably gotten worse compared to 2011-13)
Cas
Hull KR
Salford
Widness
Teams who have got worse
Leeds
Huddersfield
Saints
Wigan

So its a worsened Wigan team that are in the mix for a treble? They'll be there at the business end, injuries have blighted their season, but only in terms of style, not results. Leeds have to accept that their era ended, as they all do at sometime or other. Your point about teams improving and worsening is not really proving much, the same can be said for every campaign, just different teams carrying the baton this year, which doesn't mean the competition standard has worsened, just the likes of Leeds.

The standard has been decreasing for years, and I for one blame the cap, it has just held everyone back to the level of the lesser teams
For example anyone wishing to be the best prop in the league would, without the cap, be competing to be better than Graham or Burgess
The game between you and hull was the worst top of the table clash I have ever seen, the fact that 2 teams who are certainly in the top 4 teams in our league produced a game with 40 knock ons is pretty disgraceful in a professional league
Its got nothing to do with Leeds, the standard is bad but we are worse

Is this the rhys evans who only completes about 88% of the tackles he attempts and is only pipped by two to the coveted 1st place in the missed tackle stakes at wire? You really should turn the sound down when eddie hemminngs commentates on wire if evans is playing

I don't subscribe to SKY but understand your Eddie Hemmings comment given some of the views voiced on here. However I don't subscribe to stats giving a full and true picture either, they too can be misleading and allow muddled thinking.
Evans's tackling has been pretty good this year IMO

| I prefer to trust eye witness accounts, mine being one of them, over stats. Not a lot wrong with his defence... However if I choose to use stats on his passing completion, if I use a pigeon foot to count, the figures return favourably high.
