The damage was done to the South West corner of the stadium and guess where the wind was coming from that night/morning.
Last nights wind came from the West / North West.
From reading the various threads on different sites it appears that the South West corner of the stadium is the most "open" to the elements and someone has suggested that having Teso in it's situation could provide a "wind tunnel" effect.
As it's the second time that this has happened when the wind has blown from the South West it's not unreasonable to think there could be a major problem. I guess we won't know until the engineers have done a full structural report and see what happens when there is a North East gale. |

I don't think they could afford the gas masks to enter the area...
Serious note, I don't think you have to look much further than the builders really. Barr built both stadiums. Seeing the standard of work behind the scenes at the HJ, I can hardly say I'm surprised. |

Barr were the contrator and would have sub-contracted the roofing job... however it could have been weakened by the removal of small sections of cladding at the sides of that stand by the current contractors/sub-contractors working on your corners |
