| Why the kneejerk reaction? You scored more points than Huddersfield, Catalan in the cup, London and Castleford did on their travels to fortress MS3 Craven Park.

Credit to you because you wanted to win and, really, deserved to win with the absolute desire you showed.
You're playing well and it would be good for you to do well this season, and I expect you will. But surely you'd expect us to be disappointed with what happened today?

me and my two mates both said this was the reason behind the result at the game today. Great win for us today but I think we all know who stands a genuine chance of getting silverware this season and it's not us.

| Quote ="danburge82"I think it is the manner in which it happened. After seeing your fight back against Hull last week and knowing you scored 70 the week before that, we should know you've got something about you. So to completely change the intensity of our play when we were just three scores up was disgraceful. We did play well in the first half, we did score a good number of points for an away game at a play-off quality away ground (we have now played the top eight away from home already this season - a positive to take from our season so far [albeit a bit off topic) but we blew a lead when we're aiming for a title.

Tbh you weren't even playing that well in the first half, you were 18 nil up yes but only because you scored off our mistakes, (knock ons and loose passes. )
I wouldn't be too down hearted, you'll still be in the mix come the end of the season.

I think you can safely say that you scored off enough of our mistakes in the 2nd half to even that one out

| What a way to spend a birthday standing a country mile away from the pitch in the rain watching the lads throw away a lead
Our bench was very lightweight and the lack of forwards was a shocking decision don't see what Coops Tyke and Ben Currie did to be dropped
Credit to HKR they were good in the second half and Craig Hall really took control second half

We just kept rotating Paea, Lovegrove, Taylor, O'hara, Mika and Clinton.
You had the likes of Morley playing the full first half.

All but twice in past 13 SL season's have the champions come from outside the top two placed teams. Last years quite freak result may still be fresh in your mind, but it was nothing more than anomaly. More than likely this year's champions will come from the top two placed teams once again.
I'n not for a minute suggesting you won't come second, because I think you will. I just don't like the fact that because of what happened last year, people automatically assume it will happen again and again. Because I don't believe it will, and history suggests it won't either.
Granted the new top eight system does IMO make it easier for lower placed sides to win it. But quality should shine through, as it did when Wigan won it from top spot under the 8 team play-off system in 2010.

I'd agree with most of this.
I would much rather see a return to top five play-offs under which first place received much more of a reward. The current structure makes the difference between coming first and second marginal with the potential for "club-call" working against the first place team by motivating their opposition.
Still don't think the race for the minor premiership is any where near over. A motivated Catalans team will be a difficult game for Wigan next week (I may pop down to The Stretton Fox to catch it on satelite tv) so it may still all come down to the Challenge Cup Final dress rehearsal in August.

| Guys there is only one point in the top two (we are going to beat Wigan again- my favourite traditionas of late) Wigan have to slip up once more. We are plnty capable of beating all the teams in the league; even more so when we have Solo and Monas and Myler back.
As much as it annoys me, we can easily be top of the table come the end of the sesason.

| The Challenge Cup might have a bearing on things as well.
Look how Wigan dropped off alarmingly after winning the Challenge Cup last year (and Leeds, on the other hand, picked up dramatically...)
I can see a Warrington v Wigan clash coming up at Wembley and the edge might come off the winners hunger for the rest of the season whilst the loser will be super driven to make amends.
