| Funny that, I had a Wire based dream a while back, we won the Grand Final in Ben Westwood's last game. He was carried round by his teammates to take a lap of honour at Old Trafford at the end. They were playing "This is the One" by the Stone Roses.
I don't remember who we were playing or what the score was, all I remember was the Westwood bit and the Stone Roses song.
The other dream I had about Wire, was many years back, when Allan Langer was still playing for us, I dreamt that Langer had left and Andrew Johns was playing for us. Four years later, that turned out true.
I might be like Joan of Arc, or that trippy rabbit in Watership Down who sees visions from the future. Even the rubber duck doesn't have that gift.

| The rest of the team had better do some extra gym sessions if they are going to have to carry Ben Westwood round Old Trafford.

Got it now! It was Nigella that started the fight in the Marquis over the shove ha'penny. Boutros Boutros-Ghali claimed she kept getting in his sightline, and deliberately distracted him.

| Having Andre back is much better than having Sita and Lama, they are not good enough. I believe there is a lot in the Savelio tank for us to tap into, sign him up and release the other two.

Sitaleki Akauola & Harvey Livett both played for Rochdale at the weekend. I can see at least one or both will be in line for playing against Castleford.

Westwood is also in the fold. Harvey is more useful on the bench unless SP opts for Mamo...then you'd think Sita might get the nod.

| You really need to ask why we are playing a centre out of position when we have several back rowers fit and ready to play.

| Good point Moe. Thought we now had a more balanced squad to not need to play people out of position unless in the midst of an injury crisis.

i don't know that we do actually have many 2nd rowers , as opposed to backrower/middles.
Matt davis played at prop for rochdale i believe.

| I'd class Hughes, Clark, bmm, Westwood, livett, sita, Davis, Currie and Luis Johnson as back rowers. Out of them only Currie is injured and Westwood has been banned. Yet we are playing a centre at second row and a prop(tasi)at loose forward.

| Quote ="Fantastic Mr Cat"i don't know that we do actually have many 2nd rowers , as opposed to backrower/middles.

According to the Club Team on the website we have:
11. Currie - 2nd Row
12. Hughes - 2nd Row
13. BMM - Loose
14. J. Clark - Utility Forward
20. Livett - Utility
23. Matt Davis - 2nd Row
25. L. Johnson - Back Row
30. Ellis Robson - Loose
34. Westwood - 2nd Row
I'd use common sense to guess what price sees the players with an actual named position i.e. 2nd row/loose is a player who is considered to play in that position only. A utility forward as a player who will play either prop/2nd row/loose and a 'backrow' as someone who would play only at 2nd row or loose.
Our out and out probs according to the website are:
8. Hill
10. Cooper
16. Tasi
17. Philbin
19. Akauola
26. Moran
If you ask me there is more than enough Depth in our Back row options as well as 4 props who would fill in in the back row. The problem is Price like King but doesn't want to drop Akins in his testimonial year and to be fair to ryan hasn't done much wrong so far. Price needs to decide who his centre is and drop the other in favour of some size.

| Jason Clark & Westwood are both 13's now - in the modern day interpretation (i.e. 3rd prop)
Price seems to like bringing BMM off the bench, so at present T King is being preferred to Harvey Livett. Currie is injured, Davis, Robson & Johnson seemingly deemed not ready. Hughes takes the remaining 2nd row spot.
King had a good game vs Leeds so deserved to come back in vs Catalan, unless Price wants to start with BMM, its a shoot out between Livett & King for the 2nd row spot at present until Currie comes back.

20. Livett - Utility agree jury's out on 2nd row though
23. Matt Davis - 2nd Row he's like clark a LF/middle auxiliary prop
25. L. Johnson - Back Row was a back row, now a prop, but nowhere near first team
30. Ellis Robson - Loose
34. Westwood - 2nd Row does a job anywhere

i think we're loaded on middles, but out n out 2nd rowers/wide running players we're a bit thin on the ground, certainly in terms of effective attacking players.

| Can I ask why Luis Johnson is considered nowhere near the first team? Genuine question as he was pretty ruddy good in his one and only appearance - in fact he was our MOM that day if memory serves and that was away at the current Champions.

he was and he should be in contention, i agree, but do you see him getting named in any squads? much like pat moran.
I'd have given johnson tasi's spot this year.

This....
I've been milling over a thought I've kept to myself since mid way through last season.
It became apparent that SP doesn't like to change a winning team, to either tinker or rotate....
It's doing little harm to current form but is this having an effect on our longer term plans?
SP is looking for all a safe coach, slightly selfish upon building up his C.V. to restore his grey NRL head coaching past?
Perhaps the order from the top is to win the GF first and we'll have a honeymoon period to incorporate the youth scholarship?

| Sadly, I am not convinced Luis Johnson is going to make the first team.
He started off 2018 with three consecutive games for Rochdale but then dropped back into the U19's where he played 20 games and scored 1 try. At U19 level, players destined for the first team generally stand out. For example, even playing at prop Joe Philbin was scoring 18 tries/season, not that far from Jack Johnson at FB and Toby King at centre with around 20/25. From the games I have watched I am afraid Luis has looked rather ordinary. Its strange because when he walks onto the pitch he seems to have the perfect physique and he is certainly very quick. Anybody that watches RL would immediately pick him out as a likely prospect, but I don't think he has produced the goods on the park.
Good luck to him at Widnes perhaps this is the chance for him to kick on.

I respect your well thought out views.
He did have a decent game v Saints last year. After the game I remember thinking he would keep his place. I also thought he looked a fine athlete. Blimey!

I'd send him there for the year, give him a full season in contention for first grade.
He's only cover here when injuries hit, and as weve covered it'll take a weird circumstance of events for him to be included
