Another solid game from him tonight. I wonder if anyone else has had the thought that he may be part of the reason that we have seen such a big improvement in Roy this season. A few posts in this thread have hinted at this. There is now doubting the influence that model professionals we have had in the recent past such as M Monas, or Morley can bring to the training ground and the dressing room.

He's no journeyman and in that sense, sets the example; Follow me boys.

I'd make him captain and take the burden off J Monas shoulders, as I'm not sure it's done him any good.

You could basically here the Leeds speccies thoughts from the cheers he got when he came on. "here he is. Sinfield... Our leader come to save the day. He'll take this game by the scruff of its neck and steer us to the victory we always deserve because we're Leeds and that's that."

Next thing Sims comes in and bangs him into next week with an elbow in the face too. And tell you what it worked, because for the rest of the game I forgot Sinfield was playing. Well done Mr Sims.

His arrogance was well and truly knocked out of him.

I've criticised him for some of his past displays but Friday was easily Sims' best game for Wire so far. We were crying out for a tough aggressive prop and he showed he is that against Leeds. Loved the hit on Sinfield, hope he kicks on from this. To a man every Wire player stood up on Friday, great to see.

Don't get this admiration for Sims elbow on Sinfield. It was pathetic and stupid. lf Ablett had done that to any of our players we would be demanding a multi-match ban. Sims was having a great game and there was no need for it. If he wanted to knock Sinfield into the middle of next week he could have done it legally.

Don't get the sinfield arrogance bit either....probably the least arrogant player in the game.

The whole Leeds club has an air of arrogance and attitude that knocks me sick. Nothing is sweeter than seeing their players throwing paddies on the pitch, getting frustrated and crying to the ref. When they start do I g that you know you have the game won. They're more than happy to dish it out but the second it starts happening to them they can't take it.

Sinfield is a gent off the field, that i wouldn't argue.

Sinfield deserves respect for what he has achieved in the game. I have never seen him as an arrogant player only a class one. He kicked us to death a few years ago in our first Grand Final defeat. He has been a great ambassador for our sport. All that said I still loved, Sims' smash on him! That sort of hit can galvanise a team. Hope we see more of it. Bring back the biff!

totally agree...if you want arrogance it was out in its bucket loads last week at wigan..especially at half time
