| Superb from Chilly. Try from dummy half, and throwing a dummy for good measure!

| We werent at the races today and came close, we really should sort the halves out as they were totally outclassed. It was a good forward battle and Saints edged it.
If Bridge isn't fit then play Patton as the team had to carry him all night.

| The game was won and lost in the front row. One side had about as much dominance as is possible.

| Short of intensity. At least it wasn't a blow out score. We were poor overall though.
It's early days and pluses were Simms, Philbin looking stronger game by game and Penny who looks so dangerous in space.

| Well, Gents. I do believe the expression is =#BF0000dumb football
Yes, the better side won, BUT
We had tons of possession, but did naff all with it.
3 of our 4 tries were close range efforts, yet we force the play on every opportunity.
Don't get me wrong, I =#FF0000LOVE expansive RL, but there's a time and place. We want to do it for 80 minutes. THINK!
There are no pictures in a results column.
That game was there for the taking.
We didn't take it

| To be fair, Saints' current pack is an absolute beast. It's flattened every six it's faced since a long way back into last season.

I would agree with that. It wasnt helped when Greenwood twisted Evans' leg and then stole the ball for good messure on the ground.
Still, the rugby gods intervened shortly afterwards.

Really like Walmsley made some great meters tonight. Gutted we didn't get Burns even though he should of had 20 mins tonight

I doubt Mose has a six-pack. He is good for hitting half-backs late off the ball though, I'll give you that.

It was Wilkin who stretched the leg wasnt it? Which I didn't get as there was no need to do it, like a Wigan tactic

Amor is the better player. Considering he's nowhere near the size of Walmsley or Masoe his yardage and workrate is phenomenal. Never thought Saints could replace Graham. Certainly never thought they would with - a BRITISH PLAYER, who was effectively thrown on the scrap heap.

| Our kick tactic in that 1st half was to keep the ball in play and knacker out Saints.
It was visibly working until our daft mistakes when we had them on the ropes, put them in to score.
There pack was the difference and our lack of cohesion in the half's.
There are signs that with more games the half's will gel.

Give over. Wilkin can be his own worst enemy, I admit. But there was nothing in that play.

He didnt go out to hurt him, he was trying to put him on his back to control the ptb speed. Wigan are fond of the cannon ball

I didnt see any signs that the half back pairing was anything other than shocking tonight.

| Well I may be alone here but I thought we beat ourselves.
We bombed 4 or 5 clear chances in that 1st half.
Saints didn't bomb any and scored off our mistakes.

Come on, duckie
I doubt even Bridge and O'Brien's parents share your optimism.
Our kicking game AGAIN (bar 2 or 3 occasions) was, at best poor.
So many times we kick straight to hands.
The only team that were getting knackered after kicks was US. We were returning kicks from our try line. Saints, from anywhere, as they didn't need to run anywhere.
Our kicking game remains a MAJOR problem
Bridge looks miles away from match fitness/sharpness.
O'Brien goes missing too many times (we had enough ball)

There's nothing inherently dangerous about picking up a players leg. It happens once every dozen tackles - usually because the defender is trying to re-orientate the tackled player to slow the play. If he's guilty - it's a technical infringement for messing about in the ptb. Not dirty play.
It's impossible to watch that clip and know for sure he's actively attacking the player's leg to injure. Well, maybe if you're a mind-reader. I am not.
