I hope TS is keeping them apart only as to get an advantage over leeds in the cc semi when he reunites them.

We need Myler back at 7. Hopefully he'll be back in a week or so.

Ratchford was a none at centre and only switch the play back to the left on many occasions. He was guilty of being more concerned over GOB than playing his own game.

Poor display, but its hard to get too upset when your side is coached by a bloke, who reacts to a defeat by putting his feet up in the stand and chewing gum nonchalantly.

Smith is a great coach, but he does little to sell the game to the casual fan with his 'can't-be-d' attitude to games.

A local derby, with bragging rights at stake, and Smith simply doesn't give a toss ....

You were poor but widnes were helped by clown downstairs not asking clown upstairs twice to Look at the screen. And the clown upstairs seeing a knock on when it was fine.

If you saw that on the tele then I'm more sure TS wants to confuse before we play leeds. I think TS knows what he is doing.

Perhaps its a pressure TS didn't want. although it's for the wrong reason it's like a monkey off the back.
TS was repeatedly asked in interviews about the record and tried to play it down.

Are you in fact implying we lost on purpose? It all makes sense now.

However I do think, provided we can bounce back from this in the right way, this was an ideal result in terms of a wake up call and a pressure reliever with a tough run of matches coming up.

Chill...Widnes have only had 2 bad results at home in 2014 on that green plastic stuff !

I'll give em the bad performance we was due one , we will not play that bad again for the remainder of the season , also if you look on the bright side we nearly turned it round only for some bad calls from the officials , with a completion rate of around 60% a quality side would of put 50 on us

If only I could be bothered to search for rubber duckie's we could go through the rest of season unbeaten posticon_smile.gif

We were due a defeat, not the end of the world but makes top 2 harder. Top 4 will be were we end up.

Total crap from most of the team tonight.

Widnes thoroughly deserved the win, they were better in most - if not all - departments.

Atkins was the best of our bunch - looked strong and carried the ball well, and Rhys did OK.
Apart from that..... don't get me going on that lump Asiteasy.

We were out-enthused and Widnes energy levels were higher than ours.

Hopefully it's given us a good kick up the backside - with the top 6 sides to play it'll really show us where we're at - and I don't think we're as good as many think.

Ref killed it when we were coming back into it and there was no beer left at half time. Dunno which upset me more.

It's possibly a reminder not to be complacent after such a great run of form, but it's dissappointing that even with such a poor display we could still have won. I really do believe that if we'd maintained the momentum after Bridge's try we could have turned it round; cue Big Roy and he didn't let us down.

Not a disaster, but it's the death knell for Asotasi as far as I'm concerned.

out enthused by widnes, poor performances by certain players, ill-discipline and couldn't care less attitude. Any team is allowed a bad performance but in future could I know in advance so I can save my hard-earned.

No offence to the teams we've played recently but we seriously looked undercooked tonight and I think it's because we have had a string of "easy" games. We were too soft. We were too relaxed. We were too nice. We were too careless.

Our defence was very poor, our passing from dummy half was all over the place, our kicking game was either poor or none existent and did we coat the ball in lube?

I was a bit worried that we have a really tough end to the season but that might be a good thing going into the CC semi, possible final and the play-offs.

The run was going to come to an end at some point anyway and Widnes deserved the win. Although it would have been interesting had Bentham decided to go to the video ref for the Owen try he didn't ground, since he went to the vid ref for all of ours. As that stopped our momentum dead. But even so we didn't play well at all and Widnes did.

Regarding Asotasi, it wasn't just his dropped ball that was poor.
He was falling off tackles left, right and centre.

Defence is all about desire and attitude, his defence was weak so what does that say ?
