Quote ="FireWire"Ha ha I'm a Liverpool supporter, and yes it was meant to be a wind up. To be honest I would say there's still more Everton than City fans in the town.
Didn't realise that Warrington Town used to get crowds of 1,500 a couple of decades ago, not bad for a non-league side that. How much does the ground these days?'"
The 1,500 crowds were only for big cup games - the average league gate in the 1990s was 200-300 when the team was winning on a regular basis.
Average was 200 last season and hoping to try and double that this season with a promotion chasing team.
Official capacity is 1,500 but ground could accommodate 3,000.
Admission is £8 adults £5 concessions £2 for Under 18s and Free to all kids aged under 12.
Playing Crewe United from Northern Ireland in the Peace Cup this Saturday, kick off 3pm - admission just £5 & £2.50. Kids free.
A great chance to see a warrington team winning silverware.
