I remember the 97 Superleague opener (I think it was 97). We played them at Odsal in that awful green/blue kit on a Friday night. I was working in a hotel bar at the time. Every time I caught a glimpse of the screen they ran another try in.
I also remember my brother constantly referring to their winger as Tevita Viagra.

Is Bateman actually better than we've got coming through at the moment? That's a genuine question, i've only saw him a couple of times and heard Stevo call him Andy Farrell no2. Would he be worth buying or are the lads we have at a similar age just as good?

He is something different, a little old school; a ball playing loose. He is a simliar to Lathwaite in many ways. |

Although people go on about our youth system and giving players a chance, if they're good enough they'll play and if a player from another club is better than i would hope we'll always be in the market for them, no room for sentiment in sport.
Saying that i don't actually know how good he is but if he 'is' better than what we have then why not go for him?
