Briers has done many a great thing for Wire and RL--many of which I hate him for as an opposition fan--but disrupting the forming of a scrum is extremely low. What will we applaud next, football-style diving? Will we clap for crowding round the ref? Can't say it's something I'd want non-RL fans to see of our game and I think anyone who thinks it was "clever" needs to look at the bigger picture.

He wasn't disrupting the formation of a scrum. Wigan just didn't form it. The never had a sixth player in which is why Silverwood didn't stop the clock until there were only 7 seconds left. |
