| im not troling just concerned at the lack of "atmosphere"If you do decide to continue with the drum who ever takes over can you please least be a bit more creative when it comes to your "beats" all your "drum solos" are all very "here we go round the mulberry bush" please take your lead from European football Ultras you already do the Man City "Jump around" so just be creative with it.
Just_browny, your right we at salford need bigger crowds but we have what you DON'T is a harcore 200 or so who sing songs and get an atmosphere going and the rest of the crowd follow, i have often look at your main stand and thought if we transfered our hardore into there we would make some Mega noise (we make some good noise now at times)
I just think its a real shame you arnt able to make it happen... with such big numbers as well
Good luck to this season lets hope you can make the HJ a wall of noise rather than a beatbox it currently is

I know; just look at our new stadium. The HJ/Stoop/Spotland.
Anyway, Wire away, let's hope for another atmosphere like last year and perhaps another close result.

And what do you bass that assumption on? Ignoring the fact that I wanted to add another mediocre drum related pun in there, I actually agree with you. The thing is I don't believe we do need a drum to create an atmosphere as was the case at Wilderspool, and hopefully we've heard the last of them so things can start to improve again.
As for Salford it will be interesting to see whether your attendances improve in your first season at Sale's new ground. That ground won't look good with banks of empty blue seats everywhere.

| Last season people forget that all the big games had a very good atmosphere. Drum or no drum games against small clubs never have a good atmosphere at home but away days were generally good. Personally i like the drum, it adds more to the atmosphere and it gets the crowd and the team pumped. With the new look HJ and some new songs 2012 will be a good season for the fans and the team.

I wouldn't describe screaming 'lets go f*cking mental', then fighting with your own fans, then getting thrown out by the police, as creating an atmosphere..... each to their own though.

| I heard the drummer in South Stand got free admission to every home game for banging it during the game.
Has this now stopped, and therefore, is that the reason it is up for sale?

You will never be replaced though Geordie
Also we have other drums but we do need a 'main' one

| The drum was very zeitgeisty, it doesn't or i mean shouldn't be relevant anymore, just stand up, not give a crap about looking like an idiot and be the first to sing, you'll be surprised sometimes at how many people start to join in with you.
You don't need a sound prompting you like you're the four legged part of one man and his dog.

| Please could we use 2012 as a trial of drum-free rugby? The best atmospheres are always when the stadium is full or close to, the match is close and exciting and there is some rivalry with the opposition fans. Drums are irrelevant to any of those.

If we are playing Wigan, Saints, Widnes, Leeds or Hull then there will alway be singing and banter and a good atmosphere with or without a drum but sometimes when you play teams like London, Catalans with no voval away support its difficult to get up for a sing song again with or without a drum. How can you have banter against 15 Huddersfield fans singing "Fartown, Fartown""Yorkshire, Yorkshire" for 80 mins?

| I don't mind drums, I do not like how people have to be prompted though (though that only seems to be the case against teams that aren't considered 'Big' games. In my opinion every game is a big game and should be treated as such, whether the away support is in 10's or 1000's). As mentioned before against big teams with good away support then the atmosphere is good. when the whole of the south is chanting With the drums in the background... Got to admit, it sounds good

| The following pretty much guarantees a good atmosphere at a Warrington game:-
- Decent opposition (Wigan, Saints, Leeds) or a Derby (Wigan, Saints, widnes)
- Fullish house
- Violence (some sort of brawl)
- A sense on injustice from the referee (however misplaced that is)
You don't even need to play well or win to have the above. Just Ben Westwood's forearm, Sam Tomkins face and Richard Silverwood.
