It was a penalty that even I couldn't miss. 
Funnily enough I was stood with one of the Wigan scouts over the weekend watching a couple of junior games. I commented on how well one of the hookers was playing. He looked at me quizzically and said "But he can't pass the ball"
And the more I watched, the more I had to agree.
It appears that it's a lost art, passing straight from the floor. All the hookers appear to have to pick the ball up and take a stride before they pass. |

You've got a hooker in McIlorum who has this as a very good attribute, actually it's his only attribute. |

He had a poor game on Monday. But he had a series of great games during April, including the Good Friday game, which you might have watched as well.
He isn't a centre anymore. He hasn't played centre for four years. He prefers the second row and that is where he plays from. And he has been doing a great job for us this season from the second row. |

Rubbish. Saints signed him as a centre, to replace Talau. It didn't work and they are now trying to accomadate him in the backrow.

I agree with you. I feel the same about Brett Delaney at Leeds, I think he's a poor player too.

Potter hyped Soliola too, I remember him being really pleased to get him and about what he'd add to the backline. In fairness, he got a bad injury but he's just not a centre, but I guess it's a case now of Saints trying to find a job that he can do now.
Maybe the best is yet to come. |

Yeh, bit weird this. It seems he picked 5 players - the four you mention plus Joel Monas. But then the 13 fans picks were put in the squad and this 13 included the 5 already announced. So he then picked another 5.
Now M Monas is in, it's intriguing to see which 3 Wires will make the final selection. The 2 Monas's and LAnderson have been picked by McClennan, so it could be that Hodgson and King don't make it. But there's no other fullback unless Webb gets brought in, so Hodgson might still make it. Might all change depending on injuries of course. |

| Soliola is far from rubbish. He's had a very good season in the second row. He is playing far more minutes than he should be IMO, and that resulted in him playing poorly against Hull. But that game aside he's been very impressive.
