Perhaps Tomkins has been left out because of his mental maturity. I reckon the guy has class, but he does seem to lose his cool extremely quickly when things aren't going his way and appear a bit childish. He could be thinking the Aussies and NZ would easily wind him up

Did Tomkins or Myler ever play against Aussies at Academy level?

Sam is a naturally left sided player but Nobby has been playing him predominantly on the right. When Smith was playing and Tommy was moved to hooker, Sam played on the left, his natural side, and had some excellent games. His debut at Quins for example.

I can't recall them playing. Sam certainly hasn't.
I remember Eastmond playing about three or four years back with Hall (Hull) and Goulding (Wigan) against Inglis and Felou (sp) at Bradford.

In the game at Warrington two years back Myler may have played as it was u17 and Sam was a year older. Ainscough played in that game and got three tries.

To be fair to Odemwingie, Wigan have played with split halves this year with the 2 rarely combining in the traditional 6 & 7 way during the game. I couldn't tell you if that's Tony Smith's way though. I've not really seen enough of Warrington or England this year.
