Solomona will be rotation Prop Forward next year said that in his owen interview with the guardian and smith said in the press conference about him being able to play a different type of prop forwards role

After the form Matt King was in last year do you really think TONY SMITH is going to put him on the Wing , come on people lets get real , he put him on the wing when we had no-one else

but if you have riley , penny , Carney , hicks as wingers there is no way king will be on the wing

Riley - unlucky not to get in the side but i just think if they give Carney a new deal then he will play

I think we have to play atkins and King in the centre's, and I much prefer Vinnie Anderson running wider, where as Westwood could do the loose forward battering ram/ 40 tackles a match job.

Monaghan was te best hooker in the competition last year so he gets the nod from me

I shudder at the thought of putting King back with Penny. They simply don't work well together at all.

If Tony Smith thinks Chris Bridge is good enough to play in the centre for England then I reckon that he will start the 2010 season there for Warrington.

I think Bridge will be a starting Centre next year with Atkins on the wing.

But i must admit i liked a post also saying that Riley should be given the wing spot and make Atkins work for it. Its true that just because he is a new signing he will walk into the team. Riley had a great season last year and i think the more games that riley gets the better winger he is going to turn into!

Agree with that, King spends too much time worrying about KP's positioning and not this own game imo. I'd farm Kev out to the Chemics for another year with his best buddies.

that's a given.

Of the games I saw them play together this season, Penny spent most of his defensive time wondering how the hell his centre had left him facing another 3 v 1 overlap running at him...

For me I think he's a questionable signing at best. I'd give our young lads
(Cooper/McCarthy/Harrison) a start before him.

Don't disagree but King always looked at home with Riley outside him.
Probably because all the blokes to the right of them were doing a better job than they were earlier in the season.

May'be it was because when King and Penny were playing on the same side, we were losing every week and King was drained of confidence! He has been a completely different animal the second half of the year.

Given the right pre-season (more for Penny than King) the right leadership could turn them into threatening attacking force we all anticipated when we signed King.

Definately worth a go in my opinion because Penny is a try machine!

So shouldn't Riley have to work for his place in the team or is it only new signings who have to, the others get given a spot. How about see who looks in best shape during the pre-season?

Our back up players of Clarke, Grix, Riley, Vinnie would all have been first choice players only last season. With Penny, Blythe, McCarthy and Mitchell all making first team appearances.

Given that we also have one of the best coaches in the business, coupled with a first class stadium and a backer who has both the financial clout and a passion for the club we have every reason to feel good about next year.
