You usually need licences to use people's Intellectual Property Rob, basically a contract which says what you can and can't do with the crest - without that document, Pemps could put the town crest on a sex aid or something like that (he is from Wigan after all) and the council would have little or no redress. On that basis they're unlikely to just give permission on the back of a phone call.

It's a bit different with IP that hasn't been used in years - like the old Wire crest on my retro shirt (which I shall be wearing proudly on Saturday, weather permitting).

I didn't realise the '74 shirt had the old town crest on, I always thought it was the newer Warrington Borough crest.

Nice one Ian, i spoke to someone i know at the club earlier and Pemps has full permission to use the wording under the town crest. The club didn`t think it would be a problem using the old town crest but to be on the safe side he gave me a name at the council to contact, the club will be having one of pemps shirts to display.

The T-shirts on my site are larger than normal ones (American manufacture) so I'd say an XL is normally a 46"

Pemps - my chest is 42" this could be a daft question but will a 42" shirt fit tightly or is it in reality about 44"+ of material?

A 42" shirt will be 21" from armpit to armpit. There's a bit of stretch in them but not a lot. They're made out of cotton (well a polycotton blend) so that they're as traditional as possible.
