Harrison, Mathers, King, in that order. The origin, and past, of those 3 players sums up our improvement under Tony Smith for 3 totally different reasons.

Smith praised Harrison after the game for his heart and energy today, agree about Mathers and King there like new players from last season.

I know what Tony Catsmith is saying about L.Anderson, and I have been as vocal a critic as anyone for flying out of the line, but he connected enough times today as to warrant praise.

Mathers was my vote. That extra dynamic he gives us going forward is brilliant to watch. And his effort as per was fantastic.

I thought Mathers was MOM by a country mile.

I hate him with a passion but he has been in fantastic form. If he continues current form i'd consider him for the England squad.

Really good to see them playing with bundles of confidence.

(On a side note I do worry sometimes the way King takes the ball forward, many times he receives the tackle with a very straight back, a la Fozzard) !

Close call for mine, with my vote going for King. Would judt like to back up JWP's comments about Cooper, thought he had his best game for us today, constantly taking two/three tacklers to bring him down and making really good yards.

There were quite a few stand outs yesterday

Mathers - solid and started to break the line, great assist for Riley
Harrison - put in some massive shots and was good going forward
Riley - again solid and reliable
Cooper - great defensive effort either side of half time

Disappointments

Monaghan - offensively he made too many errors

Another close one between Mathers and King, I've gone for Mathers. I love this guys enthusiasm.

Honourable mention to Woody for playing on after he was injured too. Nails.

I wish my motor had an engine like Benny Harrisons, great performance from him. All over the pitch, solid in defence and took several hit-ups. Great effort.

Mathers and King were also very good, great break from Mathers for Riley's try kept calm waited for support and passed, very well executed. The Wild Thing King was top, the Thing that pleased me the most about his performance his willingness to track back and recover after Monas' attempt for a drop goal was charged down by Berrigan, late in the game.

Still lacked direction and organisation in the first half though.

Cat asked me during the game who I thought was MOM. I did put Bridge forward as a possible candidate. 15 seconds after I said that, he threw a pass out wide that even the Touch Judge couldn't catch.

Glad somebody else noticed that; he was badly knocked (possibly illegally) and then was targeted by Hull on the next three drives and he managed to make all three shots even though he was hopping around on one leg.

Woody was injured when he was taken out off the ball.

Just watched the highlights of the match. We had some lucky break.

From highlight only you would give MOM to Monaghan, but as i have heard that was not a popular choice

They would pretty much all be okay with momentum taken into consideration. The ref/linesman would watch which way the player's hands are passing, not which way the ball goes.
Most tries where you are on a break you could rule out without taking momentum ino consideration.

Would agree with you apart from the Harrison try, that was miles forward
