Exactly, if he wasn't up to the job he shouldn't have been given an extension . If he was fitter than he appeared ,were his 10 minute stints a tactical ploy that baffled everybody ?

I really struggle to understand the so-called impact players that can only last 10 minutes on the pitch.
These are professional athletes we're talking about - with the numerous advantages that brings.
They should be in shape as a matter of course unless they are coming back from injury, and with a half decent coaching system in place that'll get them back to the right level in a short period of time.

I had the fortune to have coaching (albeit in a different sports and at a lower level), but what a difference it made!

I'd like to see the number of interchanges reduced to 'force' the use of these type of players to be reduced.

Therein has been the problem for the last 4 years sadly.

None of our other players could only manage a 7 minute stint each half (I’m being generous). It seemed to me that in the last season and a half even Price had lost faith in him.

I think it is fair to say that Sita was physiologically challenged. Not a man to be insulted. We are not all made the same. Some will never ever get as fit as others. God's fault. Big tough boy though and looked a good bloke.

It will certainly an area of the squad that will test of Powell's coaching skills and his perceived record of improving players and producing something greater than the sum of its parts.

You never know. Mossop, Tomkins, Dudson, Jones, Griffin, McCarthy was on one of the team sheets of the 2019 grand final.

When I think of who I've seen play at Loose Forward for Warrington (Mike Gregory, Sculthorpe, Nikau, Forshaw, Grix, Harrison) I see Hughes name I feel sad.

I understand that you are trying to generate a bit of positivity with this response Cap'n, but the most depressing thing for me is as it stands we are one a select bunch of teams that have max'd out their salary cap 'credit cards' and I just can't see any value or perhaps more appropriately balance in our squad.

I've come to the conclusion that that pack isn't too shabby and maybe Bullock may surprise us....he certainly has the potential. Whatever the limitations of our pack we can rest assured that Powell will play to our strengths, something Price failed miserably to do.

It's not an awful pack. Combined with the backs and the halves, it's certainly a play off team. Does it make the GF? Time will tell...

If we could get a Luke Thompson quality forward, with Cooper and the rest as interchange that would be one thing. I guess we can hope Bullock turns into a top player.

Isn't the point that we have lofty ambitions though? KP tells us we want to be the best, but that pack is far from it.

If I look at the Saints starting 17 I feel we are weaker in 10+ so positions in comparison, in truth it's a mismatch. In F1 terms its Mcaren vs Mercedes. Good for the odd win and podium perhaps but over a season no real threat.
