Not from me. You thoroughly deserved to win it back to back!

| Most of us agree that we do have a small minority who cause problems, however every Club has them and Wigan fans seem to forget that. There was trouble outside the Murrayfield Hotel on the Sunday of the Magic weekend which was reported on your site, but then conveniently ignored. Some of the posters on the Wigan Site have reported almost constant problems from a small group in one of the Stands all season, and there was more trouble at the weekend caused by both Wigan and Leeds fans, so it happens everywhere.
What the discussion has been mainly about on this thread is the disgusting behaviour of a small group of Wigan fans who have posted messages both on RL Fans Sites and on the Facebook and Twitter Sites of Leeds players. There is no excuse for behaviour like this, it has upset a lot of people, and to say sorry and then carry on as if nothing has happened is not good enough. Odemwingie is getting quite good at this. He was also stupid enough to start a thread saying that Wigan were now hated by other fans because of their success this year. It got to three pages before the Mods sensibly locked it. I suppose he also started that thread 'in the heat of the moment.' The fact is that people have lost all respect towards Wigan fans because of people like him. Stop making excuses, take off your cherry and white specs, and come into the real world with the rest of us. Rant over.

| Following slightly from Teesidewire, yes all clubs have their idiots and no one will deny this (probably except Quins)
but the difference is Wigan fans embarrassed themselves (a small minority i may add) by bringing it on here which is supposed to be were all the sensible(ish) fans come.

I gave it as my reason (and lads who I watch games with) I cant comment for other posters who are Wigan fans. I have come across idiots form Cas, Hull, KR and Leeds but isolated incidents! It happens to often with Wire!
I did not see the trouble in Scotland, and dont sit near the Kids at Wigan! And yes I know that our we have idiots and dont think you will find I have distanced them from Wigan!
I have come on here and posted and know a few Wire fans myself who are decent but I dont respect Wire because of my own personal experience!
After the good friday game at Saints a group of us went into the Bull and ended up having a great night, with banter but no animosity! Cant see that being the case after a game at your place!

Well yes, personal experience as with anything. I personally have only ever seen aggro with Salford and Leeds, never seen any Wire fans causing anything, but wouldn't deny that it happens. But I know plenty of Salford and Leeds fans, and respect their clubs because ultimately it seems a bit odd to judge a club's fans by the ones you don't know as opposed to the ones you do.
Much like Hull FC- reputation seems unfair (I've never seen any trouble with Hull either home or away)
Same as in football. I've been to Millwall with no problem, and yet the only place where I've experienced any violence is at that notorious hotbed of hooligan violence...Oxford United.
Again, some clubs seem to get a reputation which is not fully deserved.

True but Ive come across more Wire fans who are hell bent on causing trouble and being knobs than I have decent ones! Its the opposite elsewhere for me!
Yes comments like Wire scum tar everyone with the same brush. Not for 1 second do I think most people on here are the same but then again not all Wiganers leave early

Really?
so how many fans are we talking about? I find it very difficult to believe that you have come across MORE wire fans hell bent on causing trouble than decent ones.
Either you're lying to try and prove a point or you don't go the match when you play warrington.

Well seeing as I know about 6 Wire fans and ended up having 5 wire fans wanting a kick off with us at Wembley because we are Wigan fans then yes! And yes I did go to both games this season! Thats where I was in the group of Wigan fans outnumbered by wire fans by the station dodging the punches!!

| some people appear to attract trouble, the problem in my opinion is that some people rise to the bait more than others, i have numerous friends who are pie fans, they agree with me as well, if you allow yourself to be drawn into confrontation you will end up fighting.
numerous occasions in the 30+ years i have been watching rugby have there been incidents where people have pushed the "banter" a little to far and as i get older i realise it aint effing worth getting involved or rising to the bait. the only outcome is that you make an idiot of yourself. i've found that walking away will work 99% of the time. these idiots only end up fighting if there's some one to fight! all clubs have this element but as rugby league fans first, respective clubs second the answer is to walk away. i know i will get the usual response that it's hard to walk away if your getting punched but i believe you only get punched if you put yourself in the firing line in the first place by responding to their behaviour.

| We seem to have more idiots this year but they don't want to "Kick off" they just chat rubbish! I have been watching Wire since the first year at the HJ and hardly missed a game at home and only miss 3 or 4 away games a year and i have only ever seen trouble away at Hull FC in 2005 when instead of watching their challenge cup parade they came outside to fight and this year at Wembley. Not that bad is it?

| It's harder for me to compare really, but personally not seen any real difference, when we were at Wilderspool and i lived up north i went to every home game, i've seen a bit of trouble sometimes usually though just a few cross words and no actual fighting. At HJ, personally only seen one incident and that was some tool goading a copper (idiot) although i now only get to a handful of games so it's harder to compare. I suppose it's luck of the draw and time and place but i usually don't see anything.

Back-track-tastic !
We stood near this idiot at the Saints away game at the start of the season. He was wearing his Wigan shirt so was obviously looking for a reaction. I have memories of him coming on this board afterwards saying he had good banter with the Wire fans..... but I heard nothing. All I heard was people questioning among one another, trying to figure out why someone would turn up at KR with a Wigan top on and stand in the Wire end ? He's just an attention seeking fool who comes out with sweeping statements like 'all wire fans are scum' etc, then backtracks when he realises what a complete tool he's made of himself.

Forgot about that, why if you thought that Wire fans were scum, would you stand in the Wire end of a highly charged game in a Wigan top ?

| I've been watching Warrington for over 30 years. compared with the late 70's, early 80's there's no trouble at all. Then it was all out bloody war every week.
The main difference now is that there are outlets such as this that let gobes moan about two blokes having cross words, blowing it out of proportion, and having a world wide audience to tar everyone with the same brush.

| exactly ....I think theyve lost touch with reality
theres an 8 page thread (now locked) that labels leeds fans "scum"
this from a female wigan fan started it
Quote So, anyone else witness the incident on the car park?? A car full of Leeds fans having a go and threatening a pensioner and his grand daughters. I ended up getting out of my car, and then chasing the k nobs off the car park to get his registration number.'"
an incident that to be fair in reality is a bit out of order but lets see:
"a car full" so thats 4 or 5 people
"having a go" saying something like ey up you pie eating Bar steward and flicking the v's ??
"threatening the pensioner" he might have said "up thee jacksi thar reet yarkshey cranks"
to which the leeds fans reply "al knock thee feckin blok of i tell thee"
then this lady runs after them and chases them off the car park....... who was she Fatima Whitbread with javelin at the ready...????
either way the whole episode may have been a bit un savoury for the kids but 8 pages of "scum bag fans" posts, from the actions of 4 cranks in a car.....???
she has reported it to the club shop i think...
