It's a bit odd how this forum is used. I'd love to see the stats for the numbers of users if "we win" vs. "if we lose" (say for 48 hours after a match). If we lose it seems we need to get on here, have a moan and it makes us feel better. There is nowt queerer than folk ... on a forum.

I suppose it's natural that when more fans are satisfied by a result/performance that they just can't be bothered posting 'that was fine' or words to that effect. The need to vent some steam after a loss is a stronger motivation to start typing. I agree, however, that it's petty to pick on a few individual lapses when the overall performance of each player and the team was good.

Toby king although not a bad game today needs to stop kicking the ball when a pass is on. I thought Morgan Smith did well his distribution from the ptb is very crisp and accurate. Good signs for the future. Bennies jig after scoring was a joy to behold

Nobody complained when his kick led to coopers try against Wakefield. Not all kicks come off but to stop them entirely because of a bad one is not the answer. The lad is quite good at playing what's in front of him, sure he needs to learn to make the right decision more often but he gets it right a lot as well.

regarding Toby I think he has the attributes to be a good centre regarding kicking the ball. The kick against Wakefield was more luck than judgement to hit the post IMO and one yesterday was on the 1st tackle after the ref had wiped the tackle count clean. I would much rather see someone put through a gap with a good pass than a good kick. A kick will always have an element of luck due to the bounce. What are people thinking of Morgan Smith as I think he is another with potential if he's given a few games

certainly wasnt Roberts' fault, it was a quick play the ball by widnes, cooper was late getting back in the defensive line, so when the dummy half ran out from the play the ball he had 5 runners to choose from all running at Charnley King and roberts, and the late coming Cooper. If anything you would think the winger should have been smashed in to touch by his opposite number.

the second was a two on two and more king for me, he hesitates ever so slightly at taking his opposite number which made Charnley come in to assist and a worldy pass from to winger (slighlty forward for me) puts his winger in.

Roberts at one stage in the game made three tackles on the bounce I m not sure he's ever shown a weakness in defence...

i do think Roberts and Brown are getting better ever so slightly as each game passes....

Roberts certainly seems to be enjoying himself more each game, and getting into the celebrations more.

Just waiting to see him start taking the line on.

I've watched their tries a few times now and I think we'll be doing a bit of tweaking of our new system. We have been standing back and watching and keeping shape much more this season and this has worked OK in most situations BUT close to the line it has been found out. We need to press up much harder when opposition are close to line. I wouldn't blame any individual but I would blame our system. Tweak please.

If he keeps putting the passes in, I won't care if he takes on the line or not.

Roberts: Quite right "Rubber" ... that pass for our first try was brilliant.

On the game, had it not been Widnes, and local bragging rites on offer, it would be akin to last night's Joshua fight. Glad the result went your way but it was instantly forgettable as a spectacle.

King, as much as he tries, he's not good enough, for where Warrington want to be. Atkins won't be missing for long, and then, our 3/4 line reads Lineham Atkins Goodwin Charnley. He's not going to usurp any of those 4, anytime soon. Have him on the bench. That's about his level.
Brown. The fella just passes for the sake of it. Rarely a killer pass. Oh, and that predictable 5th tackle kick
Roberts, getting better, SLOWLY, but still....getting better.
BMM and Akula (sp) proper crowd pleasers, like Lima used to be, but without the 20 minute asthma attack, later (he was a lazy sod)
Great minutes from Hill and Clark (his best game for a while, that I've seen)

All in all, it was a drab game, which got better in the second half, it couldn't have got more boring Shirley?
