Lees fancies himself as the new Knowles and has a particular speciality of tackling people without the ball (twice in our game as I recall). |

i've been wondering, what changed for this to be occuring so many times in a game, what technique changed, someone on twitter on an nrl account posted something a few weeks ago, its the reluctance of players to make a waist/slide down the legs tackle, you never see that anymore, its all upper body control while stood up.

The Sironen one is ridiculous.he has less that 0.5 of a second to pull out of a tackle he's commited to. There needs to be some common sense involved,if a player can't possibly pull out then just admit it and leave it. It's when they take 3 or 4 steps and then hit that it should be an issue. |

hit a salford player after a knock on, in the head, salford player fell REALLY awkwardly and his foot twisted quite badly underneath him and had to go off injured, essentially high tackle on a player off the ball. |

i said similar about the tetavano tackle, i've sympathy with that one, players just can't change the laws of physics |

I'm certainly no fan of Sironen, but I agree with you here. Obvious late hits are bad news and need to be stamped out, but this one wasn't like that, it was split-second stuff. |
