Friend of mine who is Widnes owners brother!!! Just texted me from their game

Is that like the 1.5k at Hudds in the CC ?

I think if we can take 4k plus to bradford, i think we can take more than 7k to widnes for a semi, i reckon 9 - 10k

We took what 6,500 last year? after taking some of Wigans after we sold out pretty sure we would of sold more given the chance.

Aparantly it was just confirmed on the radio at the end of the Widnes game

I thought playing the game in Widnes/Leigh would guarantee a far larger crowd than could be expected elsewhere? Some of the attendance guesstimates that are being quoted are probably less than half of what could be expected if the game were to be played somewhere more local to Catalan - say Toulouse!

I'll be made up if the game is in Widnes as I can walk to the ground comfortabley from home, and I would have been gutted if it was played in France as it is very unlikely that I could have made it, but I really think the RFL have missed a golden opportunity in not giving Catalan a 'home' fixture.

You never know, he does own Widnes, can't be too clever...

Yep. Summer, when crowds are down. Tickets at, say, £15. No opposition fans. Most fans expecting to go to Wembley three weeks later. I think your 7500 may be an OVER estimate.

Whatever our ticket allocation may be I am sure we will sell it and end up asking for more. Cup fever will grip the town again,watch this space.

They could do bring a friend for a fiver for season ticket holders. That would help.

Well not really, everyone bar me (looking on here) is expecting not to get their hopes up & expect a close game.

Why? because everyone hates wire? get a grip, if there are any fans besides your own and Catalan, I would expect its because they haven't been to a game that weekend, or the are just in the majority and genuinely love to watch a good live game of rugby league, get rid of your ghosts and the chip on your shoulder not, everyone is 100% anti-wire 100% of the time.
