| Seems to be a similar reaction to Jamie Lyon(s) at Saints.

| He would be a loss for any team! But we can cope, I also don't think he will miss that many games. He was walking ok leaving changing rooms and no crutches were used even as a precaution. So maybe 2/3 games which will be good for patron to get a few games too

| We'll miss him for sure, he's sheer class the most exciting and entertaining player in the league. Can we still beat saints and hudds without him? Definitely. I don't want him to be rushed back, he's too important to risk a long term absence. I wish Rhys a speedy recovery as well.

| Several players really stepped up when Sandow left the field last night including Clark (who was superb) and the much maligned Atkins.

| Apart from Atkins going to the wrong man twice in defence, his attack and energy was excellent and that try was brilliant.

| Did Sandow walk over and clap the fans afterwards? That's a good sign if he did and a good time to see how he was walking/limping. He walked off the field unaided as somebody has already said so I'm hopefully it will only be a couple of weeks out.

He was definitely on the touchline at the end, no crutches. Here's to a quick recovery.

| Can garyhulsefan have a dream about Wire winning the league, GF, me meeting up with Nigella Lawson in the same hotel I pick my Euromillions triple rollover cheque and Shaun Johnson telling us how it is his dream to partner Sandow at Wire.

| A bad injuriy to have but a good time to have it.
Were in a position of comfort.
We can benifit as a team greatly by learning to win games without him.
We don't want this Briers Sinfield effect with Sandow.

Worth noting we played 55 minutes without him already. We drew 16-16 after he came off, and bear in mind we played a very conservative 2nd half to save energy knowing we had a comfortable lead. I think we'll be fine. Think Gidley and Ratchford will be a good halfback combo for the time being.

| I personally think losing Gidley is worse for us than losing Sandow.
Sandow is exciting to watch, but Gids controls the game. He provides the structure, bosses the forwards, has good game management and the amount of tackles he puts in is remarkable (he's our 3rd top tackler I believe?).
Gids and Ratch is a decent HB pairing with Sandow out, but if it were Gids out I'd be more nervous as Sandow and Ratch are both off the cuff players, we need a General like Gids.
Ratch will hold down the fort whilst MoS Sandow gets a well deserved rest.

| I completely agree with you I said the same thing after the match on fri we need to keep Gids fit for us to progress all the way.

Update on @Sandow_7 Scans show grade 2 tear in hamstring. Seeing a consultant today for further assessment & clearer idea of action needed

| So we're likely to get him back sometime after the Wigan home game. Probably back for Wakefield (A) or Cas (H). We should have Dwyer back for Cas (H) too.
So in the meantime we have at least the following fixtures without him:
St Helens (H)
Huddersfield (A)
Widnes (A)
Wigan (H)
Challenge Cup 6th Round
Be very interesting to see how we cope.

It can be anything from 4 to 10 weeks, these injuries are problematic in rehab. I suppose we should be thankful it wasn't a grade three full tear.
Get that Cryo Chamber and Oxygen Therapy into action!

As stated all on hold until Sandow sees the consultant this evening as pointed out elsewhere the tear could have been worse but still tricky for rehab.

| It's anyones guess at the moment but for a grade 2 for non professional people without access to top medical care it can be many many weeks.
With top class support and rehab it'll be less, but still weeks.
The issue with hamstrings is not just the repair of the tear but the time needed to build the muscle back up again. If you overdo it - too much too soon - it messes things up and you can end up back at square one.
I've known too many people - including professional sportspeople - try to get back too soon and they've been out again for weeks.
Now we'll see what Gidley and Ratch can do I guess (or possibly Gidley and Declan)

| True Fez1 a great chance for both Ratchford and Patton it's good to see that with the injuries we still have options.

| I think with the start we have already made, and assuming that we don't lose Gidley too for any length of time, then we don't necessarily need Sandow back as soon as possible. We should be able to 'cruise' into a top four place before the middle eights start. I would prefer it if we let Sandow and the medical team take all the time they need to get him back as close to 100% as it's realistically possible to be.
Going into the Super Eights with a fully fit Sandow will give us every chance of doing something special, rushing him back and having him break down again with a long term injury, and it could just be another season of might have beens.
