I know there's another thread on this but it is our second half defence, minus the Wigan game, is incredible with only 46 points scored on us in second halfs this season! Cas (6), Wigan (1icon_cool.gif, Wake (6), Saints (16)!

Our defence has been a wonder to behold so far this year. Lets hope it keeps up for the rest of the season and the cup!

From a fitness point of view, we must be the 'strongest' team in SL. Just 46 pts conceded in the second half when you'd think mistakes would be at a premium, it seems the longer games go the stronger we get, even in the two defeats we finished very strongly.

For this, I'd give that conditioner that Smith brought to the club a big rap, he must have done some excellent conditioning work in the off season.

I'd also give some of the praise that we give to Smith for his HT teamtalks, I'm not sure we always do that much differently in the second half, we just go for longer.

This season is turning out to be the complete reverse of previous ones. How often were we "in with a shout" at half time only to be steamrolled in the second half.

defence not so rosey today was it guys 3 tries in a 7 minute spell tut tut tut now that will not do if you wanna stay only 4 points behind the runaway leaders thats at least the next fortnight stewing on that 4 point gap.

They can say what they want, I couldn't give a flying toss. I'm not interested in Wigan, but obviously the Wigan fans are most certainly interested in Warrington. They do see us as a threat, hence their joy and postings at us losing.

Yes, we know we sucked today, but so what? Can't win 'em all you know. Also, the only difference in my view between first and second is that you get a plate for finishing first. Couldn't really care less if its first or second.

How petty is that

Wire's defense is good, everyone is allowed an off day, I bet we have at least one before the end of the season, so I hope this doesn't come back and bite us.

What was petty was the original post when Wire had the best defence by only four points and than fans texting and e-mailing radio Manchester on Thursday bragging about it.

Our defence has been something to brag about this season.

SO it means that the trolls can come out and gloat over a 4 point lead in the table? Most of us couldn't give a monkeys how you are doing this year. Good for you, but we have our own season to worry about.

In the sense that we have our own season to worry about, and keeping a top 4 spot. I honestly couldn't care if you were top of the league, or playing against Swinton Lions in Championship 1 this year. One duff game and we get laughed at, honestly.

No really as much as you would like to think we all care about Wigan we don't.

Just go enjoy it.
