Your having a laugh, he couldn't finish his tea, if he was that good he would be playing regular football in the top league but not only is he playing in a league that's about his level, he's also about 4th or 5th choice winger for the team he belongs with.
Donald, Gardener, Smith, S Gleeson, Fox and many many more are all better finishers.

Stop being reasonable and coming up with valid points, the forum doesn't allow it.

| No but unless we have a major injury crisis, I don't expect to see him back this season. Riley, Hicks, King all playing too well. And with Carney waiting too.

Neanderthal? Far too accomodating. Fecktards is nearer the mark for mine.

Getting back to Penny though he was found wanting at SL level and has found his calling in NL 1 and for me he can stay there until our lord TS says different .With the signing of Carney as well I cant see a way back for him imo !
I also think that Fox and Gidley even Riley and Hicks are better finishers as you put it Penny was way off the required standard imo !

| I can't believe I'm entering into a discussion on the logic of arguments with you but, no I didn't say that. I said he was blamed for everything by certain people when he was nowhere near the only culpable person early in the season. He's not perfect but then again none of us is. Soem people might have thought Riley might never make it and he seems to be doing fine right now.

I don't think there is currently a better finisher in Superleague than Raynor. Even if I am a bit biased.

| I would have Penny back.
He was balmed for everything that went wrong when he was playing and every try scored on his wing was his fault.
Apparently saved a certain try last game for Widnes ( I have friends on the dark side) I can only see Carney being a short term deal. Hicks is getting on and Riley though improving has a lot to learn.
If we wanted to get rid another SL club would sign him, not Widnes
I hope to see him back in P+B next season.

Eg; Saints away. We concede a try on Penny's wing, so Aristotle drags him off and we continue to ship in tries down that side. That is why Lowes won't make it as a head coach, he let's personal opinions get in the way of professional decisions.
Allied to the much maligned (justifiably) left edge, which has now been rectified, these idiots can't see what was in front of them, so Penny was an easy target.

No he's not, he's spot on. Whether he will make it in the future I don't know. But currently Penny is very very avarage.

| Penny is a Viking na na na na
Would be good for Widnes and himself for him to stay another month, first team rugby and maybe appearing in the NRC final will boost his confidence.

3420 posts and counting, law of averages says at least 1 of those should be sensible...just proves the law of averages isn't all it's cracked up to be.
If you couldn't see that his attacking ability was immense, and that a lot of the defensive issues laid at his door had a lot to do with what was going on inside him, then I would suggest that you consider watching another sport.

He's been doing ok, scored a couple of tries, one a cracker against Gateshead when Webster kicked to the corner and he out paced their winger to score.
Still indecisive in a ttack at times, he had a great opportunity against Halifax at the weekend but hesitation stopped him scoring. I think it's best all round if he finishes the season in our league, especially with you having Hicks, Carney and Riley that can play wing.
