There are still a few teams whose pack have yet to fire properly or even get on the pitch. Saints will start to dominate teams soon and they will be a big threat. Even though they looked terrible against us I expect Leeds to do very well in the second half of the season. Peacock is a big loss but Kyle an even bigger loss in my opinion. Now Wigan. They will be a lot better when big Stu comes back but I think that Tommy L should be their main hooker. I just think he is a better hooker than he is scrum half. he didn't look too much of a threat even when camped on our line, he never looked like giving the magic ball to put somebody over. Yes it was great defence but there was very little guile there.

When we get back to full strenght we will be awesome.

We must have been really off the pace at Clarke's testimonial as Jeff Lima looked really impressive compared to friday when i didn't even realise he played until watching it back on sky.

To be fair to the squad of the last 5 matches, theyve ALL been awesome. Even if King and Atkins came back from injury,why would you put them in in place of Blythe or Evans, who are both on fire???

I re-watched the game last night, don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread previously..

Bar the obvious try scoring, by brilliant passing/link work, I reckon, a HUGE reason in our win on Friday, was down to LEG DRIVE. Just look when we take the ball up, most drivers are met by 1 or 2 tacklers (before the best passer in SL comes in third man), yet we're still sneaking an extra 3-5 yards each time. Contrast this with Wigan's forward advances by their pack, and they're met with a brick wall, and no extra yards gained.

When Stains dominated teams in the past, it was down to them going 80 yards down the pitch via their expansive passing game, and their oncoming runners coming from VERY deep, and hitting the ball with pace.
We made HUGE advances by leg drive alone on Friday, without even getting to our backs getting their hands on the ball. Great effort all round

Wood and Carvell especially have been the best at leg driving.

So me, one person, who rarely posts, should be judged by the fact I'm a Wigan fan. I do read the Wigan board quite a bit though, and you are constantly on it trying to provoke a reaction.
