No we didnt. Mulhearn was with us for all of 2022.

Hayes is a very good kicker, Thewlis can kick as well. Let's give a youngster the responsibility and look to the future. No player should be in the 17 for his place kicking alone.

I guess we may have to rely on Thewlis then as unless there are injuries Hayes won't get a regular slot I feel.

I understand the 'no player should be in for his kicking alone' line but can see both sides of the argument.
Some Wigan friends of mine (yes there are some decent types!) reckon Botica was only in the Wigan side for his kicking - he was rather special. But then again that Wigan side were full of internationals and in their pomp, and iirc Botica was still playing at international level.

also kicker isn't a position.

Kicking is a skill that can be practiced and improved on. We shouldn't get too hung up on that IMO. Thewlis, Williams and drinkwater can all kick.

Hopefully, the kicker for next season won`t be any of those players.

Leon Hayes should be our 1st team scrum half and will be kicking goals.

He'll have Crowther and Harrison putting pressure on him next year. Although Crowther isn't a world beater, he puts 100% effort in each game and doesn't shy away from hard work. I'd rather have that than Currie ambling about and not rolling his sleeves up each week.

I completely agree, Currie seems to thrive when our pack is Dominant and steamrolling ahead, but if the forwards aren't firing he disappears.

Yes, the fans of Currie that say he needs a dominant pack seem to forget that he is part of the pack.

I don’t think we ever stop looking. But it can’t be an over seas player unless we move someone on and it seem we have already tried to move Kasiano on.

I would say our weakest position is Chief Executive, especially since I've seen that video of him mocking us supporters for not turning up at his "much publicised" Q&A near the Brian Bevan statue.
