Yes it is a little different but the situation has changed in those weeks. My views have changed with it. I stand by those views now if we didn't have an injury, we simply wouldn't need him.

The thing I was wrong about was his time at Leeds, I was looking at that and not his previous time in the NRL where he was superb.

Like I say on our board though, our coaching staff turned Fielden back around, they can do the same with Cross.

Correct, because we NEED him. Prescott and Fielden are both injured and Coley is not fully fit. O'Carroll is not back so he can't fill in and Hock has only just returned. Crosby and Davies are not quite ready yet.

He could have signed for wire or saints, I don't care, his experience in the NRL and at Origin speaks for itself. Clearly I was taking more notice of his time at Leeds.

He hasn't played since your first comment as far as I'm aware, for you to alter your judgement on him, unlike the Pryce and King case you use to promote your reasoning and the only thing that has happened between the times of your comments are that he's signed for Wigan, your club.

Either I/ve been out of the country for the last few years, or they've upped the alcohol %age on Bushland Australian Shiraz (Aldi £3.99 a bottle - FANTASTICHE), because I'm struggling to recall this upturn of form in Fielden's game. Yes, he's improved since Maguire came, but he's NOWHERE NEAR his Bradford form era.

At the time, Fielden was maybe the best prop in the world, now, he's not even in the top 5 in the North West of England.

2 decent seasons at Leeds is not exactly the same as playing SOO in the front row for NSW. Hardly a decent comparison.
