I think Wigans abundance of Backrowers may force Maguires hand aswell. We'll probably get Hock back halfway through next year and young Farrell needs a crack because he's quality.'" how long is maguires contract? I thought it was one year to see how it goes? He could be a first team nrl coach by the time hocks ban is lifted.
I though hock was band till the start of the 2012 season?

| All the names mentioned, Joel Tomkins, Harrison etc, they all have massive futures. I also think that Donaldson at Bradford looks a little bit special, isn't he like, 17/18 years old.
I don't think we should forget Cooper neither, just because he's outside our 17 at present, he's a massive talent.

| Agree with all that people have named so far.
Just to add one that's not been mentioned so far, Liam Watts - Hull KR.

Watching the England-Wales game in a pub in Leeds last autumn, one fella on our tables pipes up "I really rate Moore, I reckon he'll be the best hooker in Super League for the next decade". No sooner than he finishes his sentance, Moore spills the ball from dummy half. He had a bit of a stinker after that, too, cue ironic high appraisal of him from the rest of the table.
Nice moment that I thought I'd share with you all.

Just look at his stats for this season and that's for less than 60 minutes rugby he has played.

Is that the reasoning for prop? Is he lacking in lateral movement?

I wouldn't say he struggles in terms of his lateral movement but he does tend to charge the ball in hard and straight. He may have 5 or 6 years in the backrow but one day down the line he's surely going to play at prop.
He reminds me of a young Jamie Peacock but I feel his move upto prop may come earlier then Peacocks did because of the amount of backrowers we have and will have in the years to come.
Either way he's an exciting player. He bullied Hull KR's pack on Friday night and thats impressive at the age of 20.

That's precisely my point. Less than 60 minutes.
Kevin Penny after 160 minutes of rugby was the best winger ever.

He's not had a huge deal of experience but it's more then 60mins worth.
He's probably played about 10 games for us and been very good and had a good loan spell at Huddersfield where he played 5 or 6 games in a winning side.
By all accounts Nathan Brown was very impressed with him.

He still is isn't he?
Smith is keeping him up his sleeve for when the sun comes out later in the year.

| From a Wigan point of view I'd have to go with Mossop and Farrell, two great prospects. Other teams - look out for Luke Ambler from Leeds, I think he'll go well maybe not this year but certainly next. Clough and Cooper have always impressed me whenever I've seen them as well.

| Lets give Lee Mitchell a mention too. Very highly rated by his colleagues at Warrington and apparently performing excellently at Leigh,
I thought Joel Tomkins was excellent last weekend. Stood out and made me take note! Much more so than Mossop for me. As NK says he's perhaps a bit in the shadow of Sam at the minute but I think thats a good thing. Too many young prospects believe their media hype all too quickly and ultimately fail to reach their full potential.

| From memory Ryan Shaw, Bobbie Goulding and James Lethwaite are all in the England u18's training squad. Shaw and Goulding are a year below that group as well.
Obviously the Evans' twins don't qulaify due to be Welsh, I'm sure at least one of them would have made the squad.
