Not seen much super league yet this season.. But how is Hilly fitting in speaking to him in Leigh last weekend and he's loving it?

Think he had slotted in well a good powerfull keep it simple prop he has been one of our better forwards

I think that he will definately go on and make the grade with us and become a regular under the coaching of TS and the mentoring of experienced guys in our pack around him especially if "he is loving it" and taking it all in.

Impressed me in his 3 appearances. Great carry and leg drive and strong defender. Went into a firey match in the 2nd half at Hudds and took it all in his stride. Couldn't ask for any more from him at the moment imo.

He's fitted in well.

He strikes me as one of those quietly efficient players, who will never let you down, always do the hard yards, tackling etc. - you might not leave the ground talking about a big hit or 50 yard burst as you may with Moz or Carvell but you'd notice his impact when he's not there.

I think he'll do well.

I've got to say, fair play to all the Leigh fans who don't seem to have any bitterness towards Chris or Warrington for his leaving.

Not like Salford fans then, they called us allsorts for signing Myler, then Ratchford. what made me laugh was all the stuff that their useless aussie coach Matt Parish said about loyalty then he frigged off back to Aus in no time!

To be honest I think most of us are just surprised we managed to keep him as long as we did without a SL club snapping him up. We've had years of nothing but 100% from Hilly and even after he signed for you guys he wanted to stay with us 'til the end of the season and played a huge part in our NRC win with a big performance and a try in the Final. Been the best prop in the championships for a good few years and I don't think any Leyther wishes anything but the best for Chris and, in turn, Warrington too. Great player and a great guy too.

He looks like he's been playing for us for more than 3 games with how well he's slotted in. I'm sure he'll get even better with more SL game time, experience in our team and when the pitches are dry.

Very mobile, makes metres after the collision and works hard in defence really pleased that we signed him. From watching him in the Championship I know he's also got a good pass and offloads in him, and they were always saying about his time as a half.

Yes, I've been very impressed by that too. We seem to have quite a good relationship with Leigh at the moment and long may it continue.

Chris has great hands and feet, and can trot a bit too. It seems he is focusing on the basics to break himself into SL, just wait till he feels able to express himself -

Can't begrudge the lad for wanting to have a crack at the top flight, and I reckon he'll have a decent shout of getting in to the England set up by the end of the year.

As Nozzy said, we're just glad to have kept hold of him for so long as he's had several offers over the years to step up to Super League, but he wanted to remain with Leigh until the right club came along for him, and that would certainly be yourselves with your recent record in developing players.



I know it's a bit of a trek for you but don't forget it's only £10 to get in at the Leigh vs Batley game on Thursday night when you show your Wire season ticket!

He's looked quality so far, as people have said, he does the hard graft without being too spectacular. If he continues at this rate of progress I'd definitely be looking at including him for 2013.

Will be in the starting17 before the end of the season. I think he's a bit like Cooper, but just a bit better.

If I had one this year I'd consider it.

Not sure about this, I think Cooper has been terrific so far.

Hill though looks like a great signing. So far he's done everything you'd want from a young lad at this level for the first time, getting through a big shift without a fuss and looking like he's been around the team for ages. The time he spent training with us last year can only have helped with this.

I was quietly confident before the season that if Morley stepped down at the end of 2012 we'd have enough to replace him internally, I'm almost sure of it now (I'm not saying Hill is as good as Morley, just that Carvell and Wood have more than enough to be the two starters with Hill and Coops from the bench).

It is also my belief that Hill will end up replacing Morley, evetually.

Is it the rule now that every time we mention Hill all the !eigh fans come on and tell us how good he is and that we have a good 'un and wish him well
