Seems SBR is the head honcho now Costs are things like the hosting servers (and upgrading of), domain name (which may have to be renewed annually, or biannually, or tri-, etc.) As far as I'm aware the hierarchy is based in this order; 1. Head admin/owner (Used to be Mav, seems now to be SBR) 2. Admin (Southstander, etc) 3. Forum chief moderator (usually the owner of the sub-site, such as Geordie on here) 4. Forum moderators (SEB, Catp1ss) Obviously 1 and 2 are in charge sitewide, 3 and 4 only in their respective forums. Don't quote me on any of this though, this is just the idea I have gotten

truth be told, i think its sadfish and southstander.com, you don't see sbr about as much, after that the most senior admins are tb and mintball.

Wouldn't SBR be the domain name holder and server account holder? Basically the site is in his name, but is mainly run by his staff?

interesting, thanks iswt and cp, so to clarify geordie made this part of the forum and then affiliated it to rlfans.com? was he invited or do you apply to rlfans.com?

for instance if i wanted to start a subsite on rlfans.com, say fatfans.com would i have to get the tech stuff done myself or would i approach senior admin and get them to do it for a fee?

you'll have to change it back yourself slim, it was probably over the allowed limits for whatever you had in there, sig size etc. so the sigbot has wiped it, its all done automatically.

The previous sub-site owners gave up and the admin invited all comers to take over the job I believe. The sub-site is the corresponding website (DownToTheWire.org in this case) and the forum mod job comes in the package, although it remains within the rlfans main site.

As for a sub-site, you have to ask the admins for the rights and permissions for it to become part of their network. I'm not entirely sure if they would supply and own the domain name, or if you would. You'd have to design and build the website though as far as I'm aware, unless they needed someone to take over a website already in existence, in which case you'd probably have to make sure it was kept up to date.

Of course, once again, this is just conjecture based on things I have seen both on this website and others
