Che Smith has certainly got us on the right track.

The game against Saints will be the litmus test, to see how far we've come. Win that and anything is possible.

But we didn't play well again today, apart from a short purple patch in 2nd half when we scored 3 tries in 10 minutes. Hull didn't offer much of a threat, did they? Room for lots of improvement.

Very true but we could equally be caught out by a good side. Like others have said, I'd swop losing to Saints in SL for getting to Wembley and taking another shot at them there.

Best thing about it is our defence we have had these runs in the past where we have thought that we would click as we was just doing enough to win games but at that time we was letting 20-26 in this time its different the defence is solid once we click in attack and play for 80 mins teams are going to have to watch out.

very true, we are playing as one unit in defence which is a very pleasing aspect that TS has brought. I've said it before that confidence and team spirit is a major factor in a winning team and i think he has given the team both of these in spades.

First half - i thought we shaded it, but 2nd half were well in control and scored 3 trires but then seemed to be content to let them try to hit us, which they couldn't.
Hull's attack was fairly ordinary and didn't look like there was a spak - much like both teams in the 1st half.

It is but every time a team (bar the obvious) seems to get a run going this year, they come crashing down. Still only 10 points between 3rd and 12th.

In the days when Sky are telling us it's the closest league for years, it must be a bit of a bugger for Saints to be running away with everything.

Championship form as you put means that your beating champions on a regular basis, thats i how view it anyway. We are on a very good run at the minute and Tony Smith has instilled some steel and a winning mentallity into this club, the next step is to be beating the likes of Leeds and Saints on a regular basis as they are the benchmark.

We are heading in the right direction but its nothing to get carried away with just yet, i still believe it will take Tony Smith at least 3 years to shape his own squad as their will be quite a few players that he inherited where he may feel that they are not upto the job. Anything before then will be a bonus in my opinion.
