Clearly big club bias again from the RFL. If that was Jeff Lima, he'd be banned for 5 games.

I still cant believe we are allowed to get away with being 30% above the salary cap. Dave Shillington also signed for next year on £500,000 a year. Can only be a matter of time before we are pulled up. The live cap system is clearly not working though.

That Morley was not banned for that tackle on Mc Gillvary is shocking, it bodes ill for some other player if Morley thinks he is able to do that and get away with it

I think it was poor that a player doesn't receive a ban when he clearly came into dangerous contact with the oponent's head, as was evidenced by the split lip. I thought head high tackles were illegal? Is the mouth not on the head after all then? Did a biology lesson pass me by?

Still, it's only Adrian Morley. He's always been a thug. Someone will return the favour in time, no doubt.

How biased is the RL?

It's not union, shoulder charges are perfectly legal regardless of what you think.

What about when Moz sparked HH at the HJ last year, no fuss, no penalty, widely regarded as a top tackle by the type of player who will force mistakes when the team needs it.

Morely was a bit of a nitemare, granted.

In the time he has been at wire he has been a revelation as far as his discipline is concerned.

There's a certain red headed prop who could learn a thing or two about composure from Moz...

He slipped into the contact for me, I thought Morley rightly made the point at the time to Silverwood. It was a penalty, no more.

But contact with the head is illegal. That is why Hudds were awarded the penalty. I am suggesting that given the force of the illegal contact with the head, that his lip was split and he was actually dazed for a while, a ban would have been appropriate. I am quite sure you would have agreed with me if it had been Morley on the receiving end of the same tackle.

I've watched and playd rugby league for 25years and that has never been worthy of a penalty

Unfortunately, the RFL appeared to agree with you. I say unfortunately because if risky tackles are to be stamped out then those to the head more than any should be treated with zero tolerance due to the risk to life, never mind career.

I would have the same opinion i have now if it was any of our players.

Thankfully, we no longer play to the rules of the game from 25 years ago. If we did, no doubt more players would be paralyzed from the neck down or dead.

So a shoulder to the head is not capable of snapping a person's neck then? Only a swinging arm?

And if so why wasn't he cited? if it was illegal then it was a clear offence.


It's not like a chicken wing where it can be argued about position, pressure etc etc, or bad camera angles because the footage was perfect.
