The season is getting closer, new players now in the squad, what songs do we have?

I just want a more of atmosphere this season.Last season was just dull and flat..

The usual generic dirge obviously:

"Barmy Army", "Wires 'Til I Die", "Der der der der der WIRES" (Carnival du Paris tune), with a few chants of "Easeh Easeh Easeh" thrown in when we score, after the obligatory "We All Hate Widnes" while playing a team a division above them of course.

Yawn.

that 'god bless' one we had was a good song however not many people knew it.

how about "chick,chick,chick.chick, chicken. lay a little egg for me"

Thing is any decent new song no one sings because they can't be bothered learning the words, but the short repetitive songs are dull and boring.

There was a group of people handing out small pieces of paper last year with the words to the Chris Hicks song, but still nobody bothered even though the first verse was very good.

I blame it on the 14-15 year old chavs with a small vocabulary.

how about green armyyyy since we now have a green kit...

why simply blamed it on the 14-15 year old chavs as you put it.... surely other people are to blame.. the people that sit down and barely cheer when we score. the people that stand aroudn me that never sing... the songs at warrington are poor.. but at least the "chavs" sing them songs and try and back the team. id rather have them singing rubbish songs than them not singing at all.

Not the scrotes that stand near us.

All they seem to do is have their back to the game whilst talking about crap, having their iPods in their ears, and pushing and shoving each other whilst annoying the **** out of everyone in the immediate area.

Agreed, should be thrown out or at least shoved in the corner!

That's the South Stand for you. Our end is a utopia.

I reckon its the same people who sing at the home games that sing at the away games ......the young chavy ones who go to every game of the season home,away,league and cup,rain or shine and have a good time unlike some of the cant go to this game footballs on cant go to that game its to far/cold,cant go next week they aint got prawn sandwiches,aint going next week coz we aint won this week.pennys ,sack smith brigade...... We could always sing YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE or GLORY GLORY MAN UTD......oooooppppsss forgot we're from warrington and aint allowed to sing your heart out for the lads. Oh and I will always be WIRE TILL I DIE.

i know some peolpe hate the drums at the game, but me and my mate are looking to buy 2. I was wondering if anyone knew any good shops they could reccommend.

I'm not looking forward to the She Wore or any other song relating to Wembley until at least the CC Games start. Other than that there's the odd few songs that are quite decent. The "God bless my home, I come from Warrington" is always a good one if people know it.

Gameday atmosphere has gone. Mainly due to the attraction of chavs and numpties or the new breed of fan i.e "Kevin Penny abusers".

Couldnt agree more, we have a few on here at the moment.... You'll never get back the atmospheare we had at Wilderspool.

The away game atmosphere aint gone. Think away games are better . More atmosphere and singing. IMO people who go to the game should be happy to hear the fans sing and backing the team. The crowd scene hasnt changed much since Ive been going(about 20 years). Its a family game and the kids have always gone and messed about( even at wilderspool). I know they can be a pain in the but youll prob find if you ask them to be quite or stop messing they will. Everyone is different thats what makes the world go round. Maybe we should start a thread for ' ban the boring farts that dont want to sing'. Dont forget all those your moaning about help pay the players wages so had a hand in our Challange Cup Win. Wonder if the football supporters on this site moan this much about the singing and chavs at the footie match??

dont need new songs just need more people to sing them. get alot better atmosphere there
