| Ì guess he's a young single lad who's never been futher than Parbold except to play rugby before taking the Aussie dollar.
Shame if true and fair play to the lad for giving it a go.
I'm sure he'd have had mates and family out in normal times which would have helped but its another case of Covid f***ing evrything up.
I'm also sure the club have done a lot of work to support him.
You only have to read any number of player biogs to see that many are less than worldly wise regarding travel.
Wonder how many others have been to Parbold???

He doesn’t have to sign for them. Although I suspect he will....but I don’t believe anything Zero Tackle spouts.

| I think we've been in for Willams before right? Offered him more but he decided to stay with Wigan, I assume the same will happen again, although if they are expecting a child, maybe money comes more in to it - time will tell.

| With the Broncos missing out on Daly Cherry-Evans and a host of other playmakers, the chances of former Dragon Gareth Widdop joining them are growing by the day.
Widdop is currently playing with Warrington in Super League but his young family is in Australia and he is desperate to be closer to his kids.
Widdop has dropped his price dramatically to get back into the NRL but was rejected by all 16 clubs over the summer.
But much has happened since then and despite the Broncos' remarkable win over the Titans last weekend, the club knows it needs an experienced playmaker to lead them around the park.

| I don’t mind Williams, but he tends to blow hot and cold. Maybe that was just the coaching though.
Given the choice, I’d take Trueman as he seems to have a bit more potential. I don’t think Williams will be going anywhere other than Wigan anyway so not really worth worrying about.

| Why not have both? A pairing of Trueman and Williams?
One can dream anyway . . .

He's improved a lot in the NRL and become more consistent under Ricky Stuart. Had a great season last year scoring 7 tries and 15 assists.

Interesting. With Hastings going back though I can't see any other destination for Williams than Wigan.
And to be honest I'm hoping we strike a deal for Trueman. I certainly can't see both at Warrington.

| I think we will only be used as leverage for Williams' agent to broker a better deal back at Wigan.

| So just having a look on Casforum and on the Trueman going nowhere thread one guy is saying reports in Aus are the we are favourites to sign Williams, then again we are often favourites to sign players because we tend to be the only ones with the money to bid.

| I think the priority needs to be a left handed (or at least a half back that can pass equally well from left to right)
Trueman plays on the left, same as Widdop and George Williams.
I have not studied Trueman or Williams enough to see if they would be equally as effective on the right.
Has anybody seen any York games recently? I would be interested to see how Riley Dean is getting on. I know last year he played on the right for us but would be good to know if that is his preferred side.

Williams played on the left for Wigan but on the right for Canberra.

Interesting it’s with immediate effect. You wonder which club could afford him currently?

I agree, Wigan have a marquee slot, after George Williams left them and allegedly have a return clause for Williams, if he returned to SuperLeague.
