I ordered a signed copy through his testimonial website months ago but not heard anything since, did anyone else do the same?

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of a couple of chapters, very honest, very good. Can't wait to get my mitts on my copy now!

There was a bi serialized in one of the papers this week (yes, I am now talking about the same book as everyone else).

What was interesting was how Moz touched on the drinking culture at the club, which was obviously still prevalent right up to he end of Cull's tenure. He mentions various incidents which simply would not have happened in the current regime (Briers slight faux pas in Aus notwithstanding). He also suggests that Cull treated him, King and other senior players with kid gloves, and possibly pampered to heir ego.

Was quite a graphic illustration of what TS was faced with in 2009, and how far we've come.

He also says he wanted to re-sign for Leeds when he came back from Australia, only for Gary Hetherington to say he thought Moz was finished at the top level (or words to that effect).

I've asked Father Christmas for one as I enjoy reading sporting autobiogs, especially as he is one of our own. I don't like the ones where the author is frightened of upsetting anyone (as with Beckhams) and much prefer the ones where they reveal secrets and tell it as it happened (as with Robbie Fowler). Which category does Moz's fall into? Hoping to get a signed copy when he is in town in a couple of weeks.

What I don't understand about Hetherington's mindset in that situation, was the the fact Morley was still one of the top players in the NRL.

Hetherington is entitled to make the odd mistake and its not as though he's spent the last 6 years regretting the absence of a big forward to help them win Super League.

A four year deal was a big gamble and Hetherington has a lot of good players to fit under his salary cap. We were in a position where we had to take more of a gamble to progress and this one paid off. But there would have been a lot of people lining up to criticise Paul Cullen and Simon Moran for spending big money on a player who had taken a lot of battering through his career, if he had suffered injury problems or not been the same player.

Morley, like Fielden, Farrell and Scully, started young and played an intense game that meant he got a lot of punishment. That punishment mounts up and those three players were not the same in the final years of their careers, in Fielden's case because he lost form, in Farrell and Scully they couldn't get consistently on the field. Morley was the exception.

I wanted us to take the gamble on Morley but I'm not sure I'd have wanted us to take it if we were in Leeds position.

It's a good job Morley took more notice of Gary Hetherington than of Wire71.

I know recently Leeds over 30s have signed contracts longer than two years,but I'm sure at that time 2007 circa,it was a policy not to give contracts longer than two years to 30 year old's.I t was a real mistake,and just imagine Moz and JP together.As a leeds fan I still admire and respect Moz..I hope he gets a ring before he finishes.I know he got one with Bradford and it does count,but a ring as a wire legend and regular willbe more appropriate

I wonder which Leeds players would have been moved on to fit Morley under the salary cap.

There is the poser?The leeds side then was not described as old as it is now in some quarters,and there was some young forwards with potential coming through,some are strill here,one or two have gone,Scruton to name one, who got his ring in 2008.Yes Gary must have thought "I think we can win the thing with these lads not on top $ like I would have to pay Morley.

I had a conversation on Friday with a friend.

I truly believe that Moz has been our most important signing. Not just as a leader on the pitch but also in the dressing room. Someone who came in and was respected by the entire team whether British or an Aussie international.

I think he has most people from all over RL got their respect

I might have to throw the signing of a certain Mr Tony Smith into the ring here.

But player-wise you could be right, I'd say the Joey Johns signing made a lot happen for us.

i believe that it was a mistake that we didn't re-sign him due to the clubs offer of a 2 year deal not being good enough to make it even onto his managers bargaining table,but in hindsight it has hardly restricted our clubs success has it?
