Something does not sit well were Drinkwater is concerned, he has been in the last 3 squads and still not played.

Ankle injury, i can't see it being anything other than he's just not 100% on it yet so not being risked.
On the Squad, i'd put Thewlis to fullback and Dufty on the wing, worth a go i think with nothing to lose.

I'm more and more convinced that Powell has stopped coaching and hasn't felt his job threatened after the season start as it's just same old same old... The Powell that coached Castleford encouraged some flair ... literally no idea what happened to that feller but these line ups and tactics are definitely not "class"

A penny for Riley Dean's thoughts this week. Goes to Cas on loan because it's deemed that he needs to be playing Super League week in week out, and now Wire, without both first-choice half-backs, are taking on Cas, and Dean can't play for either side!

It’s strange isn’t it that the positions that we are desperate for (half back and second row) we have players in that position out on loan (Dean and Longstaff).

Perhaps at Cas he had a team of players that wanted to play with flair. Our days of flair seem to have deserted us . I'll see what's in my wardrobe .

Is it outlandish to recall Toby King? There’s money in the pot, he’s allegedly coming back next year anyway. He’s played second row before, could slot in there until Nicholson comes back and make a start on building a consistent right side for next season with a partnership of the two mention, plus Drinkwater and Thewlis.

No matter what their skill level or age ,i would prefer players who want to play for the Wire to be turning out on match days. Had enough of freeloading journeymen.

There was recent reporting that he’s coming back at the end of the year, despite being wanted by Wigan. So it must be a club led decision.

This is part of my gripe with the club at the moment, lack of communication is letting rumour run wild. If he was a bad apple, why bring him back. If not and it was purely financial, why suffer now we have lost two salaries and are desperate for players right now. If he’s coming back anyway, let’s just crack on with it and get him in now
