| Next week will be the 1 year anniversary of his signing.
I was watching the team run prior to the cas game and he wasn't even involved with the non playing squad members on the pitch, and just doing boxing on the sideline. He's either got a lower body injury or hopelessly unfit, which after 12 months is a bit embarrassing for all involved.

| I think he's a long way off yet, otherwise we'd hearing about his progress every week building it up towards his debut. We've already played Leigh, and we won't see lower league opposition again in the cup, so I guess he'll be blooded mid-season if we play a weakened team prior to the cup semi-final should we get there.
Nice marketing ploy though if it comes off, but if it backfires and he ends up playing one game I think there would be a few returns on GI gear at the club store.

| It's embarrassing, really. It seems as though he's either not put in the effort or there's some issue we're not being told about. Especially for him not being ready enough to play vs Swinton.
I don't expect anything good from his time at Warrington.

I would have thought the pre-season exercises have put too much strain on part of his body and he's pulled something ... like calf or hammy.
Happens a lot ... especially to oldies. Wire are unlikely to inform the world (and other teams) about any injury.
It is amazing how many injuries some clubs have had and several players at Leeds & Wigan have not started at the start of the season.

| Just been following the SP online press interview. GI won't feature this weekend and he's 1, 2 or 3 weeks away (but will play before fans are back on 17th May). Apparantly training with the squad now.

I swear he’s been ‘a couple’ of weeks away every week so far this season.

That was my first thought. The question is, for how many more weeks will be continue to be one to three weeks off?

Indeed. Price did say a fortnight ago that if he didn't make the Swinton game it would be Hull. All a bit odd really

| It all feels like an anti-climax at the moment. But if we get to the back end of the season and have a version of Greg Inglis that's even anywhere near his old self, it will be worth it. That's my hope, at least...and it's always the hope that kills you!

| It would have been ideal to bring him on from the bench v. Swinton. Not so good at Hull.
If not right there is no point. Patience.

Perhaps Uncle Rico can add it as a category in the prediction competition.

| Probably goes a little something like this:
"Hey Greg, we're going to put your debut back until the fans allowed in, then we can try to flog 4000 t-shirts, you good with that ?"
"Mmmm, more cake please"

| People keep banging on about him not playing yet, but did nobody see any of his interviews? He said himself he thinks he would be playing about round 4-5......and guess what......this week is only round 3. Chill out, he's gonna play when he's 100% ready. No point throwing him in until this point so just relax.

| Antiques roadshow:
Fiona Bruce: so what have you brought us today.
Wire fan: well I have this rugby shirt my grandfather gave me, he said it was once worn by a legend of the game.
Fiona: It looks in mint condition.
Wire fan: yes sadly I believe never played in it.

| I'm as frustrated as anyone that Inglis isn't playing, but I'd be even more frustrated if he played when he wasn't properly match ready, got injured and missed a big chunk of the season........although it would give us more chance to indulge in our favourite pastime of whinging & moaning I suppose.

| Coming so soon after the Latu debacle it does make us look pretty stupid which when it comes to recruitment of late, we are.
As long as when he is "fit" he has to earn his place that's fine. If we start rearranging the backline and hacking people off to get a half fit Inglis in the team and sell a few more bits of GI tat, it will backfire massively.

| I didn’t realise he’d said he wouldn’t be ready til round 5-6. For some reason I’d got it in my head that he said he’d take until round 5-6 to get settled and back to his best.
If it takes 6 weeks FROM round 6 then I think we’ll see the best of him in September. Which should time nicely with us missing out on the playoffs having been knocked out of the cup semi...
Can’t he at least show up at Victoria Park for a kick around and pretend to score length of the field tries?

| Inglis is fit....
Just think about this for a minute after my post.
You have to think outside the box.
Remember the impact Johns had....now I’m not talking about the pre game period. We’ve already had the attention for Inglis like Johns.
I’m talking about during the game vs Leeds and the result, which lets be honest, was never going to be in doubt. We caught Leeds at a good time, and the game goes down in history and it echoed all over Australia...and went live too.
I now come to my point.....
There is no guarantee that we can beat Hull and Cas over the next 2 weeks. However we are guaranteed to smash KR. (I do think we will beat both FC and Cas btw)
Now can you imagine the huge backchat if we play Inglis in either of these 2 games and we get beat?
Now this is the period I give you a minute to think about that....
The negativity that will come off defeats will echo around the world in complete contrast to Johns and make Wire and a Inglis the laughing stock for a generation, as Johns vs Leeds is the biggest league result of a generation. Inglis HAS to come out with a winning debut, for him and club, period. The fairytale WILL happen vs KR, and from that point, the stage is set and the honeymoon period attached with it. The press will be all over him.
So if I am coach or Fitzy and Inglis is fit to play FC, would I play him?... absolutely NOT. He plays and the pay will follow. Wire WILL be the biggest name in RL following our wins that are going to follow...and they WILL follow.
Sorry to sound condescending, I’m not trying to be. I’m just having another...”Wire will beat Saints in the play-offs and/or Wembley” and I’ll tell you why moment.

Aye oreet. Everyone in world rugby will be talking about the mighty Warington. No they won't. No one cares about Inglis anymore. He has been finished for 2 years and you wont get anything out of him on the pitch. Looking forward to seeing all the wins that will follow though. Ive been waiting to see that for about 20 odd years.......... More dreams. Invest in the youth, until that happens you WILL always fail.
