| ..... and boy, do we have them.
It's been SEVEN long years, since Adrian Morley last lifted anything of value, despite oodles of Moran and Middleton's money has been spent, which leads to
Recruitment, which, on the whole, stinks to high heaven.
A starting XIII which gets picked (depending on bans/injuries), which leads to, no plan B, which leads to a crap run of form.
We have poor discipline, players bang out of form.
We're spiraling out of control, and it's showing no sign of stopping. Hull must be rubbing their hands.
Westwood MUST play on Saturday, poor discipline or not. We HAVE to make changes. Bring Livett back in. If we've lost on Saturday afternoon, that's it. Season over. We simply haven't the wherewithal, to come back from this. We're like a punch drunk heavyweight boxer, and we're stuck on the ropes, taking a pounding.
Grow a pair, Warrington

| Absolutely spot on. I keep looking back at the Hull away game, and yes I know Hull were short of several players that night, but we played heady, attractive rugby in dismantling them and had an imperious full-on star on Austin.
What's gone wrong?
We've retreated into our shell, elected for dour risk-free rugby and succeeded only in nullifying our attack and given the chasing pack a glimmer of second place they never expected.
Loss of form, loss of composure and what I've come to think is a personal vendetta from Price towards certain players. Chaos.
Our attitude, attack, defence, disclipline and mental toughness need to go up several gears if we are going to get a final place most of the squad barely deserve.

| You'd think by now his persistence on playing the same 17 on the whole (some without any justification) would've at least led to some attacking cohesion. You can't blame Patton for lack of runners off the ball and having no planned moves at all. What are they doing all week? A very unbalanced squad when you take into account the ignored players. A few tweaks would improve things and freshen things up by Price clearly isn't having it.

| We’re a fairly average overall team with some very good individual players.
A team of this quality will have runs of good form where everyone gets overexcited and expectations get unrealistic; and will have runs of poor form where everyone goes over the top with how bad things are and expectations for how good we’re supposed to be get unrealistic.
There’s nothing more to this. We are just an half decent side with a few very good players.
I think everyone needs to get real. We aren’t that good and things aren’t that bad.
In terms of recruitment, I agree, since 2013 we’ve been inconsistent. For every good signing there’s been a polar opposite one too. But that happens. It happens at every team in every league in every sport.

.... and that was 4 MONTHS ago.
I've just checked our results, and bar the usual walk overs (London, etc), we've won TWO closeish games, since then. A Cas side (with injuries, which they've NEVER mentioned) and a stuttering Wigan. Other than that, nowt.
And that's a side that wants to compete for trophies.
Latter day Smith, and Price have a LOT to answer for.
A big change in attitude is needed. FAST.

| your view is spot on a few good players in average team, and your right we aren`t that good, but things are that bad, we are by far the riches club in super league, and spend money , we should be a lot better, it lies in youth development, we are light years behind wigan, saints, leeds, hull even Huddersfield, this is were we need to improve, until we produce 3 to 4 players good enough for super league, we will never be any better.

Anyone can hammer anyone in this sport in an individual game where one team are on song and the other team are not up for it and full of injuries.
Never select one individual game to show how good or bad a team is.
That one game can be the anomaly against the trend. If you think this squad of players should be playing that well every week, your expectations are wildly unrealistic.
So, it’s not that anything has gone wrong, it’s that Hull away was an anomaly of a game. Almost the whole rest of the season has shown what we really are: an inconsistent half decent side, who have runs of good and bad form.

| Big changes needed for me and they should start at the top. No trophy for almost a decade despite having the most resources available.
Hill and Cooper coming off after 20 mins today. Hill had just had 2 weeks off. We look so unfit and devoid of ideas. Thank God everyone else bar Saints are crap otherwise we'd struggle to make the top 5.
Recruitment has been a disgrace, as has the blind faith in players that are not and never will be good enough. Take Dec Patton out the team give Livett a go next to Austin. Ship Tasi away to Crosfields for the rest of the season (though I'm not sure he'd get a game). Bring back Westwood to give us some bite. Akaoula does about 15 mins when he plays, same with BMM (he used to play around 50-60mins at Salford). What has Ade Gardner been doing?
Our style is boring and predictable. Five drives and a high bomb. No risk or initiative or pre planned plays. What do we do in training every day?

| Well in reality you can prob count on one hand how many games we’ve actually played well so are we in a false position?I’d say yes and it’s helped us that the teams below us have been just as inconsistent and the recruitment apart from Austin who’s form has alarmingly dipped has been poor to say the least but who the eff is our scount as I could do a better job as most of these signings have been dreadful.

| I think maybe the secret of Saint's runaway form is that they have got rid of Gardner. Under Clarke we were much fitter. Luckily we have a big enough cushion to avoid a relegation dogfight which i think we could lose.

I haven't suggested that we should play to that level each week, although there's.nothing wrong with that as a target. What I'm saying is that the style of play we showed that night is a million miles from what we've played since.
Within weeks of the Hull game we'd lost a couple, and immediately switched to boring robotic RL. Why? The starting 17 hadn't changed much but they suddenly looked like a team who'd forgotten how to gain an advantage and ram it home.

| The style of rugby is the most boring in the league. I wouldn't mind that much if it actually won games but it clearly doesn't and to persist with the same team is ridiculous. We'll soon find out if Price is good enough.

| This 'style' of rugby is clearly based towards trophy winning. He has to win at least one this season or he can go for me. There's been no improvements in fact regression and wasting a season waiting around for a man with a seriously dicky shoulder doesn't cut it for a club with our resources.

| Although our performances have certainly regressed, has our actual capability also regressed, or are we just being a little smarter than previous in targeting our matches.
If I were a Wire player the upcoming semi final would have been at the back of my mind and therefore would certainly be tempted to hold back a bit and then throw the kitchen sink in the semi.
It’s human nature, I’ve done it myself in my football days.
I am sure that all them Wire players will badly want to return to Wembley if nothing more than to erase the memory of last years debacle against Catalan, put the record straight with the fans.

| I don't understand where Price finds the belief that the style of rugby we have played for most of his tenure willl bring results.
We don't have several hard yards props like Catalan, Hull or Saints
We don't have a punishing kicking game that pins teams back until they sucumb
We don't have aggressive defensive line speed
All of those are needed to make a success of Aussie style grind the opposition down tactics.
What we do have is a good offload game, though I haven't seen it for a few months
What we do have is one of the top two hookers in the comp who can destroy teams via a quick ptb
What do we do have are two prolific wingers
What we do have is a genuinely dangerous stand-off
So lets get back to playing to our strengths and picking a team capable of doing that.

I think we have to.
He came in with a clean slate, with new signings, and he got to two finals, both of which we lost. So, without the British disease of celebrating getting to finals and having heroic defeats, he achieved nothing in his first season.
9 months on, yes, we're in a CCSF, but we're in very poor form, he's selecting players who are so far away from the standard required, it's ridiculous. Currie has been back for 4 months, yet he still looks like a YTS lad, following round his mentor. Don't get me started on Patton, and a couple of others. These players are so far away from deserving a shirt, yet they get picked without fail. Drop them, and promote from the youth, or take another risk, and play someone out of position. To continue playing these failing individuals, is a recipe for disaster.
So yes, the blame is fairly and squarely at Price's door. Or should I say sandpit. Because that's where his head is currently buried (apart from a certain orifice).

| If we were thinking about the semi then it was the perfect chance to try a few changes. Livett and Johnson in. Shove King in the second row and drop/rest one of Currie/Hughes and give Burrell a run out.

| Treatment of some players seems.... strange shall we say.....
Agreed that Westwod must be in the 17, and I would have had Atkins in place of Toby King - but oh no - he's been told he can have an Op as he won't be playing for us again (that's me sumizing rather than it being based on fact).
Price is on very thin ice - and I have never been one to call for heads to roll (I never called for PC and TS heads).
I'd love to understand what Prices plans are going forward. He simply can't pick that 17 for Hull.
