The worst I ever witnessed was running for my life as 3 of us were walking to Pepperhill pub near Mayne Road from Piccadilly Stn and running for our life as hundreds of Wigan fans came running aound a street corner screaming for our blood. Thank god I was a fast runner.

I think I must be unique in thinking the bad blood promo was a good bit of tongue in cheek publicity that added sone spice.

It didn't make me want to pummel any Wigan fans anymore than hearing a little mix song makes me want to put on a leather bra and stockings.

If there were some.idiots shaming their clubs, thats a real shame and I hope they get caught but don't blame a bit of harmless promotion. It got 13000 fans in and the atmosphere was great, certainly better than the lunar-like vibe at the DW these days.

I remember being chased round the slag heaps (literally) of Featherstone in the mid 70’s. I had hoped those days had been left well behind. The Warrington Guardian report suggests this was more a case of mouthing off rather than physical violence, I certainly hope that was the case.
