What deal could we expect on netting Eastmond...would we only have to show 50% on the cap?

According to Proper Sport this evening, Eastmond is asking for 450k from a SL team. Yes he would be eligible for the 50% returning player rules in season 1 (75% season 2) but realistically he would go straight to marquee status which would cap him at 175k.

I haven't seen much of him because I refuse to give yawnion viewing figures. From what I have seen though he's pacy, low centre of gravity, strong and will probably retain good ball handling skills after his apprenticeship as an rl halfback. I would, if we had the option, rather take a punt on him than another antipodeon who is likely to take at least a year to settle in. I would be very excited if he appeared as our new signing.
