donny is a fantastic little ground but it is a nightmare to get to as it is one road in and one road out,we played our cc semi there against cas last season and the whole area was grid locked,our supporters coaches had to be given a police escort in order that we could get to the game on time

i can't see the game being played there tbh i'd tend to agree that langtree park is the obvious venue

Should we start the "debate" now about playing games at larger stadiums as its the semi-final and we should be looking for at least 15-18k at each one?
Of course prices should be really cheap as well, its only a semi-final and not a proper league game.

Has Langtree been tested out sufficiently as a big game/attendance venue yet?

That's what I was thinking. Our last two semi finals have been played at Widnes, which is about 8 miles from the HJ. I think this year, we'll be up over the dark side of the pennines.

Odsal is a dump and not fit to hold a Semi final. There are new grounds that should be used with excellent facilities for supporters.

Bearing in mind that ourselves and Wigan couldn't sell out the Stobart a couple of years ago I would think that Langtree park is way too big for our semi. I'd be surprised if the semis are anywhere other than Galpharm and Salford.
