Forget the spelling, but that lad was absolute class tonight. It's about time that fans, irrelevant who they support, get behind British talent. like him or not, he is the nearest thing this country will see to Sean Edwards in a long time.

Agree he had a great game like he has all season for me, great players who needs to work on his kicking game to kick on, which im sure he will.

His devastating in broken play, but I don't think his great at decision making, still ignored to many overlaps or team mates in better positions to go on his own.

Something which the Aussies deal with easily, needs to work on his decision making then he would be truly world class.

Might be a good player, but I hate him with all my heart and soul.

I suggest you go and ask any respected professional in the game of Rugby League (coach or player) what they think of Sam Tomkins as a player. He is the best prospect England have produced for a long time and if you think otherwise then you are completely deluded.

Didn't say he wasn't a good player. I just said I hated him.

I hate Wigan as much as the next person, But I don't understood why people hate Tomkins so much, his a fabulous player to watch.

2yrs ago we had 2 special young players comming through Sam Tomkins and Kyle Eastmond How good would it of been to see these 2 playing for England in the 4 nations.

Got a mate in the England set up and he said when all the squad meets up for training and what not, he said the 2 Tomkins brothers walk around with their heads up their owns arris', too good to mingle with the rest of the squad...
He said he got on with alot of players from other teams who he's never dream of getting on with unless he'd met them off the pitch but Sam and Joel was a pair of arrogant t@ss pots... Great talent but complete pr@cks!

Absolute rubbish. The players in the England squad have got along very well in the last few years (since the whole Saints-Leeds business was sorted out). Most of them know each other very well and get along just fine, Tomkins brothers included. The likes of Ben Westwood, Luke Robinson, Sam Tomkins and James Graham tend to be the jokers of the bunch and as such get along well with the rest of the squad.

Carmont for me by a country mile was Wigans best player today.

S Tomkins is just CLASS though, might seem to be arrogant and all that but the best tend to be and he is definitley one of the best.

Great game today and he made the most of the Wire being off their game.

Only have to see the interaction of Sam with other England players on Twitter including Myler and Westwood to know that is absolute rubbish.

I think true RL fans enjoy excellent plays by great players, regardless of team etc. Over time (despite the fact I am a Wigan fan) have applauded the likes of Long, Briers, Morley, Peacock etc for their contribution to the game.

Sam is exceptional, yes I understand how he can irritate opposing fans, but regardless he's a special talent to watch on the rugby field. In context with this point I am also pleased to see the development of Myler, looks better without Briers as he's allowed more ball and more responsibility to control the game-with Briers in control at times he looks like an excellent support player and not much more.

I'm looking forward to seeing some creativity from Myler, Widdop and Tomkins when they all link up for the national team.

The lad is pure class, not a lot more you can say.
