What did you guys think of his performance tonight? His shot on LMS at the start was his usual blood n' thunder start to the game, but from that moment on I didn't notice him have much of an impact on the game after that. Lots of very questionable tackling attempts but he has always been allowed the odd high shot as they are never bad ones.

But he looked every year of his age tonight to me. It might have been the rain on my glasses but it looked to me like a career of smashery might be catching up with him or was the injury that saw him sit the last 20 out to blame? The pack was the one area I thought we were okay in tonight. Roby was his usual robotic self and TP was on a mission. He looks like a spring chicken in comparison to Morley, skipping merrily through the daisies on his way to the line.

He seemed to play a long first half compared to normal, and as for past his best, I'd have no forward in the league before him on the teamsheet. When he made that high tackle mistake late in the 1st half he made 4 tackles on the bounce and had a hand in the 5th.

Not one of his best performances I'm afraid.
Looking for too many big hits and timing some of them wrong.
It is the first game for a long time where I can say that about Moz.
Next week normal service will be resumed !



Your pack played so much better than last week and Puletua was immense. LMS and Graham played well but I think Graham needs to calm down a bit. Teams will always look to rattle him and get get whinging. His anger needs to be controlled.

The sixty minutes work he did will do for me, still makes Graham look like an amateur. Yet another pathetic troll attempt from saddo

Maybe that's it. It's harder to spot the effort in the tackles from behind the sticks than it is the ball carrying.

Moz, at times this season, has been awesome.

BUT, his time OFF the pitch now, is becoming a concern.
His dedication to the cause it without question, however, tonight is another long session for him on the sidelines, without him coming back on....allthough he did 30 odd mins without a break (iirc)

Not the player he was. I've seen a decline this season. Looking at the way Carvell, Wood and Solo, and others take the ball into contact makes me think he's not where he once was. I've never seen a player drive in with more commitment than Morley, not done it this season though. Still got it in defense, was excellent tonight.

Moz put a massive first half stint in before Wood came on and gave a penalty away first carry, Moz is a legend.

I thought he set the tone tonight, got through a tonne of work in the first half, was a little too keen at times and got disciplined but was very good. There's plenty of life in the old dog yet.

I'm not forcing him to retire or writing him off as past it, I was just saying how I thought it went tonight and asking your opinion. I was at the game, I am soaked to the bone and my phone has got a condensation bubble under the screen. Your place will be getting the bill for this I feel.

Carvell is superb at the moment but I know if I had to choose between Carvel, Wood and Morley I'd know where the real deal is.

I think a) TS needed him to do a big 1st half stint and b) he got injured. Moz is best doing 0-30 and 60-80 for me. If we are ahead in the 2nd half by the time he comes back on we rarely, if ever, lose.

thought wood played very well today. we needed to slow saints down and first thing i saw of wood was doing this in his first two tackles. i said after the match perhaps wood and carvell have got that much better and for his head shot how about moore on hodgson?

Wood made 2 feck ups, one led to a try. If he can iron this out he would be a great forward.
